“Spectacular retreat/ rejuvenating!!!” After first discovering this place through family, I have since vacationed her every chance I get with my husband. And now since having a baby we now bring her along as well as the place is right on the beach, the pool is to die for and everything you could ever think of is taken care if for you. The staff, Carla and Marco are a delight if we decided to stay in Carla would make our meals... Marco would keep everything looking just a stunning as when we arrived... The house can be your own retreat or get down and invite your friends and have bob fires on the beach an let loose... Your close enough to walk to Marthas a local restaurant on the beach. If you surf you just have to wake up and walk down the beach to the right... If you need to hit up the locals and get your groove on the little town is just a short trip down the road... With amazing local crafts and restaurants... Boraborracha on a Sunday night is the place to watch some local dancing eat drink and be merry... We've recommended this house to many friends one if which loved it so much he returned and got married there!!! Everyone gets their own villa with their own open air bathroom The "ariba suite" is like living in your own jungle tree house. The "domed" suite has an insane massive open bathroom you can see the ocean from every suite and the hot tub is perfect for that afternoon dip after your surf or horseriding adventure. Can not wait to return with a bunch if friends in March 2011. To celebrate a 40th birthday. If your looking to get a way for a peaceful yoga retreat, surf, wedding or to just mix with some local Mexican culture and do nothing but lounge by the ocean/ pool this is your nirvana. “La Quinta amada is delightful. One of the very best.” Finding La Quinta amada on the web was great good luck. It was everything the website described and really even better. Staying there was a highlight of a great trip to Mexico City, Teotihuacan, and Tlaxcala. I stayed in first class hotels in Mexico City and Teotihuacan but most enjoyed La Quinta amada. It is a perfect location to make day trips throughout the area to major archeological, historic, and natural sites. I went also to climb La Malinche and Cuatlapanga and the views of the mountains from La Quinta amada were inspiring. Tlaxcala itself is very interesting and La Quinta amada is a good location to walk to Tlaxcala and there is easy access to all forms of public transportation. It is set off the main road and so more peaceful. The building and garden are beautiful and the public spaces are very fine for relaxing. There are many ammenities and a good library. The individual rooms are light and airy and beautifully decorated. Everything is immaculately clean. Much thought has gone into every practical and aesthetic detail with consideration of providing a guest with comfort and an experience of the cultural treasures of Mexico. The hosts have a personal ties to Tlaxcala and a great knowledge of the area. To the degree a guest wishes, they are very pleased to provide detailed information about the area and help in navigating all practical matters. I had planned a rather rigorous trip and returning each evening to La Quinta amada was a pleasure. My experience of Tlaxcala was greatly enriched by my host's generosity and consideration. I hope to visit again. I have stayed in a variety of lodgings in the U.S., Mexico, South america, and Europe. La Quinta amada is one of my favorites.
