“A great view and great place to stay” Enjoying sitting out on the balcony with views across the river. There is also a back patio garden that was nice to sit out in. Wadebridge is a very short walk away with plenty of eating places, particularly around Foundry Court. With the Camel Trail on the front door step we ended up going for a walk instead of more common cycling. Waterside has great facilities and all were as expected. Looking to rebook for next year!

“What a brilliant find!” Never been to St Ives (SI),but the landscape/beach looked fabulous. When friends (they booked Sam's up stairs) suggested we join them - we did. We arrived early to find Neal+Clare repairing a window and cleaning for our arrival - and although we were very early-just finding our way around, they were very friendly and helplful and let us leave our bags to park. We were ob-snacked by the views but the house itself was gorgeous! Clean, spacious, stylish and accented with Neal's quirky wooden furniture. There's nice little outside area with a chairs /table, and upstairs flat (where friendswere) had a lovely stepped garden - more amazing views. Si is a great place to stay-esp for a family (we had 3 kids 10-12 yrs) lots to do/see around + short drives away. (Go to Minack Theatre, Porthcurno. Views breathe-taking + outside theatre amazing) Lots of places to eat-quite spoilt for fish restaurants + diff eateries of various £££. Go 2 Porthmeor beach for bodybording and beach-restaur (modern tappas)- worth expense as easy to just chill with a cider, watch the kids on the beach. Another great find was Hardcore Prawn -middle of the lanes in SI. Amazing seafood /steak - great staff and quite reasonable. Also trendy/funcky bar downstairs. So great week away. Draw backs? Hardly worth it - but parking hard(its a very popular resort) and although we bought a week's parking via the council car park, you were lucky if there were any spaces unless after 6:30pm. Oh + little thing (in flat), if you're short then don't expect to see much of yourself in the mirrors - as they are all mounted quite high. Still you dont have to look at myslef for long - when you have so much to go and investigate... So - no complaints, just smiles and we've booked for next year already!

“Loved it!” Really enjoyed our stay at Owl Cottage. Easy to book with great communication all the way through. Lostwithiel is a lovely town, we had a great time exploring it and the surrounding area. Ideally situated for Eden Project and local seaside towns, though we would highly recommend Polkerris Beach as a nice, fairly quiet place. The butcher's and baker's in town are well worth visiting, we were always stocking up for picnics! Owl Cottage itself is lovely, had everything we needed, even to make my son's birthday cake! He thoroughly enjoyed playing with all the owls and fully expects to return for his birthday in the future! We found it comfortable and very well equipped. Really enjoyed our week there and will definitely return in the future.
