“Home away from home” Our family enjoyed our stay at the vacation home in Delmar. We had plenty of space for 5 and the beds were comfortable. The outdoor patio could be accessed from the living room and the master bedroom which was handy. The kitchen was supplied with seasonings and a selection of coffee and tea. Great location.

“Roomy property close to Oceanside beach” We stayed in this beach house January 2017 for 4 weeks. Things we liked: 1) Proximity to the beach 2) Quick responses from the property manager and the owner 3) Rooftop deck and hot tub 4) Very roomy property with space to spread out 5) Master bedroom gas fireplace 6) Even though this is a townhome, you do not share walls with the other two units. This place is like a little villa. If you are considering this property, note: 1) The trains in Oceanside blare their horns close to this property due to a street/pedestrian crossing; however, a city ordinance was passed recently that should resolve this issue in the coming year. 2) The kids' room with the twin beds has an outdoor access door (Parents, take precautions for your kids' adventurous spirits!) If I could suggest improvements, it would be: 1) change out the carpet, especially in the kids room where there seemed to be mold growing from past rain storms and humidity 2) change the lock to the master bedroom (the owner did say he was going to do that) 3) Vacuum the fireguard in the master suite's fireplace (would have done it myself if the vacuum worked well) Overall, this is a great property and felt for the price and the proximity to the beach, we had the best option available in Oceanside.

“We keep coming back” This was our second stay at the La Jolla Cottage and hopefully we will come back next year. We have never been the hotel types and like being able to have a kitchen for breakfasts and dinners. It is so nice that it is just a short walk to Wind n Sea and we had some lovely walks there in the early morning and evenings. The home is clean, the furniture is in good shape and the bed is comfortable as well.

“Great location!” Our hosts were very responsive. Casa abalone has a private back yard (we grilled dinner in the backyard on Christmas Day!), ocean view from the small front landing/sitting area, walking distance to everything,top appliances in the kitchen, luxury bathrooms, and very roomy for a family of 4. Could have a few more comfortable chairs, the furniture was a little spartan. They had two 21-speed bikes with locks for us to use. That was a real bonus.

“The Most Breathtaking Views” My family and I had the privilege to be the first ones to rent out this home...we specifically booked it for a small outdoor wedding because we wanted to have the spectacular ocean view and the family could all stay there as well! The weather cooperated, and the wedding was absolutely beautiful! We are serious when we say that the view is "breathtaking" ...we searched all over the San Diego area, as far north as Oceanside....and no views even came close to this one! And you can walk down a beutiful path that leads right to the heart of downtown La Jolla! It is an older home, but that's what we loved about it...it had "character" as well! The things we did not care for about the home is that even though the front of the home is enclosed and private; the driveway and garage are located on the corner of a private drive and busy road; so getting in and out is not the easiest; especially when it's rush hour. There also were a few little problems; such as not having a barbeque out on the deck as advertised; and the land line phones were not working(these are the only reasons we did not give this rental a 5 star review); but as I stated before; we were the first renters; so it was a trial run for them too, and we let them know what needed to be improved. Overall, however, staying at this home was a wonderful experience that made the event of our daughter's wedding a most memorable and beautifull one!!!

“Great location and great value” We stayed at this little house for three nights in late april. It was perfect for what we wanted: a nice neighborhood to walk around, easy access to the beach and a comfortable place to lounge around and cook in at the end of the day. It was great all around. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. They supplied fresh linens, towels and beach towels. The kitchen was well-stocked with the basic pots, pans dishes and utensils. No dishwasher, which wasn't a big deal to us. All of the appliances were in good working order. We had no complaints about any of the house's features. We would definitely stay at this location again. A great alternative to a hotel and easy access to all of the things we wanted to do while we were in town.

“Very responsive staff.” The cabin was great. We had a good time and the staff was so helpful. At first our tv didn't work and they came and fixed it while we were at dinner. This place was a little far out from the lake but we had a great time.

“Great!” The check-in was extremely easy and the staff was very friendly. The cabin was clean with all the necessary supplies to help enjoy our vacation. There were a total of 3 families that spent the weekend there and it was extremely comfortable with plenty of room for everyone.
