“Great place to stay and play” A great place to stay for a vacation on Cape Cod. The rooms were comfortable and of good size. There was a relaxing atmosphere and all the comforts of home. Plenty of games and videos for adults and kids and a large screen TV. Parking was ample and easy to come and go. The kitchen was more than expected. The back yard and spacious rear deck and furnishings made outdoor meals and barbecuing a pleasure. I especially liked the covered outdoor shower (with hotwater) to wash away beach sand and ocean salt. Speaking of ocean salt, the beach is just a short walk away.

“Just right for a wonderful beach vacation” My husband and I have stayed at this cute little cottage for many years. It is by no means fancy or large, but it is just what is needed for a great little get away every fall. We can bring our family dog with us, and we enjoy drinking our coffee on the gorgeous deck every morning, and taking walks on the beach at sunset. We keep coming back because of the fabulous location and wonderful memories!

“Perfect location” We had a wonderful time on vacation in this house. It was spacious and sunny and the yard was huge. Location was perfect walking distance to bay beach and fresh water pond. “A Little Bit of Heaven” Several years ago I had the good fortune to rent this cottage "sight unseen" and have been returning each year for 10 or so years which tells you how much I love it here. Dream about it in the winter too. It is immaculate, close to a small beach, stores, and not too far from Rockland and Camden. If I could, I would spend the summer here and be in heaven! Tranquil, beautiful, soothing and good for the soul are some of the ways I would describe Hupper Cottage. The owners are terrific and most accommodating. In my opinion you won't find a better place to stay in Maine for rest and relaxation! Walking and sight seeing are great, and the lobster and sunsets are fabulous! Great hub for sightseeing in mid-coast Maine as well.

“Cozy New England Cottage Was Perfect!” It was just a short walk to lobster rolls and nightly entertainment, which was great for unwinding at the end of the night after a tough day at the beach! The neighborhood was nice and quiet, with friendly people and a wonderful atmosphere. It was fantastic to be able to see the Wednesday night fireworks from my back deck! The cottage was comfortable and I felt like I was right at home. Lots of amenities, like aC, cable, and wireless internet!

“A place to get a deep breath!” Dreaming of a place where you can take a deep breath, hide from the stress and leave your work behind? Kayak Cape Breton & Cottages is such a place. Directly located at the Bras d'Or Lake in a peaceful surrounding of smooth hills and woods you will find one of the two cottages that are well equipped with all you need to make ones living in the nature with all the comfort you need. Just a small pathway and you are at the great Bras d'Or Lake where you can swim, kayak or just stroll along for hours. Within a few kilometers you do have St. Peters where you can get your daily needs and if you play golf you can find a driving ranch and a golf course in the opposite direction. Even driving to several other locations like the Cape Breton Highland National Park or the national historic site of Louisbourg is within a day trip range. The host is very friendly and has a warm welcome for you and will help you with all your matters. He is an excellent kayak instructor and offers kayak lessons and rents the equipment you need to enjoy a paddle tour. I never had moments in peace, silence and nature before at such a beautiful spot. The property my recommendation for outdoor lovers and people who want to live once in a cottage in the woods. A place of tranquility and rest, a place to get a deep breath!

“perfect” We love Oar Island. It is the perfect vacation place for families with children of different ages, or just a couple. There is hiking, sunning, relaxation, but mostly what we love about Oar Island is the isolation. It is an adventure as well, since the only way to get there is by the little motorboat. It is a getaway for certain kinds of people; but if you prefer the Marriott type of stay, this is not that kind, it is much more "out-doorsy".
