“Stunning but isolated Villa” This is a beautiful villa with wonderful staff however it is quite isolated. The beach is right on your doorstep but you can't swim in it due to the rips - which was disappointing. The pool was great luckily for our 3 teenagers. Food was mostly very good, in particular the local Sri Lankan curries and breakfast. The abundant staff made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Having our laundry done was a real bonus for me. If you are looking for an escape this is the villa for you - however if you need the internet & like to eat out each evening I would hesitate to recommend this villa. It is a good 25-30 minute drive into Tangalle.

“Amazing!!” We had an amazing time at The Teak House for 6 nights. The house is beautiful with everything you need - large bedrooms with comfy beds, tastefully decorated, a spacious and breezy living area, gorgeous garden with hammocks and views to the sea. The beach is a short (2 mins) walk down the lane at the bottom of the garden. It is a lovely sandy beach which is safe to swim in. The waves are great fun and we enjoyed hours of boogie boarding (2 boards at The Teak House). The sea may be quite rough for very young or timid children but our 9 and 7 year old loved it! Roshan and his brother are at the house to look after you and cook fabulous meals. Nicola, the owner, was really helpful when we were planning our trip and even put us in touch with a local driver who we used for our whole stay (we would also recommend Sujith if you need a driver!). All in all we had a fantastic time and I would not hesitate to recommend The Teak House.

“A Perfect hideaway on the Beach” Never did I expect to find such a beautiful serene beach house off the main road away from Galle. This former fisherman's house is perched at the end of a fishermen's beach and set up slightly from the beach under the shade of trees. You approach the house end on and walk along the cool veranda, past the large sitting area with huge blue day mattresses to sleep on, past the kitchen and hammocks to individual bedrooms with vast beds and ensuite bathrooms. Upstairs are a further 3 bedrooms off a veranda with views of the bay. The house is tastefully painted in shades of green and blue and has a simple but sophisticated feel about it. The place is idyllic. What better place to stay in Sri Lanka than here? Walk right along the bay, swimming and sea shell hunting. Have a cocktail whilst your cook creates a meal from local produce and fish as you watch the fishermen bring in their boats whilst the sun sets? What could be better?
