“Pet-Friendly Destingation” As a 'Pet-Blogger', I am always looking for great places to holiday with our two dogs Henry, and Reese. More specifically, somewhere we can 'enjoy' with the dogs without having to worry about what to do with them when we visit restaurants, shops or go sightseeing. The Dolphin Inn was the perfect place to stay! This trip was arranged as a group get together; my husband, parents, in-laws and sister with her husband and two small children. The spacious accommodation meant no one felt as if they were tripping over one another. Although we didn't eat evening meals as a group, we enjoyed breakfast together at a large table located beside the spacious kitchen on the upper level. Because of the layout and quiet location of the Inn, we were comfortable leaving Henry and Reese to relax comfortably when we went out to do 'people only' things. Our hosts were very helpful with suggestions regarding things to do and see in the area. Upon arrival we found guides with locations and contact information, as well as preferred rates on several activities for guests of the Inn. I am happy to recommend The Dolphin Inn to groups or families with or without dogs!

“Great vacation home” My family has vacationed in the OBX for the past 5 years, and this home was one of the most well equipped homes we have stayed in. “Fun vacation for all” Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nena's Nook. House lovely (only complaint some dishes and baking pans were put away still dirty), location perfect, lots of activities. Kids ages 13 thru 23 all loved it. The keyless entry/ no check in/out feature was sooo convenient.

“A Beautiful and Relaxing Escape” The house was lovely and clean and was so open and filled with light! The covered porch and deck were fully furnished and provided a "bridge" between the house and the beach. The gift we received as we entered the house was a real surprise and much appreciated. I would say that this is the nicest rental property we have leased!

“Relaxing” This was the first time every staying on a houseboat. We were a little apprehensive to began with, the boat swaying in the wake, but it didn't take long to get use to the motion. Then there was the spectacular views of the yachts, fishing boats and barges passing right in front out you on the Intercostal waterway. Then just about evening Dolphins would pass by, just amazing. We enjoyed fishing from the front deck, not much luck, but very enjoyable. The condo was clean and comfortable. Not to far from downtown Beaufort, we enjoyed the sites there and the surrounding area’s as well. A very enjoyable and peaceful stay. Thanks

“Outer Banks is the place to be!” This is an older home in the quiet Sanderling community of Duck, NC. The location doesn't get any better -- boarded walk to the beach, great decking for watching sunrises and sunsets, and a nearly private beach. You have easy access to the running, walking path along Route 12 but since you're back in the neighborhood you have no traffic noise. The home is sturdy, open, well-furnished, and has everything you need for a week at the beach. We loved the family room on the upper level with plenty of windows, comfy seating, a large table for dinners, and an island for more casual breakfasts and snacks. There are plenty of games, puzzles, books, and movies that are great for rainy days. It suited our purposes just fine. The only criticisms are: the house was extremely dusty -- we didn't dare turn on the fans for fear the inch of dust coating them would be all over the place if we did; the bathrooms are somewhat dark; the shed light was burned out and the shed was such a mess we didn't even bother to try to get any of the bikes out to use -- couldn't find a pump anyway. We had a very large mouse running around the loft. From the size of him he's been there quite sometime enjoying some good food. As he was too big for a regular mouse trap (we tried to catch him) we told the folks at Outer Banks Blue about him. Hopefully they have ousted the critter. We did mention the dust problem to the Outer Banks Blue guy that showed up the day we checked in. He said he would have to put a service order in but that didn't happen while we were there. We had an issue with the grill and someone came out and took care of it right away. Overall, we were very happy with the experience. We know this is an older house and we're fine with that but the cleaning crew needs to do a better job.

“Great Place To Stay” It's been a while since we stayed at Contentment, but I would recommend this rental to anyone ! It's a wonderful place to stay, and aptly named. I am hopeful we will be able to return in 2012. Excellent beach location, very family friendly, clean and spacious. Our now grown children are excited about possibly going back next summer.

“Excellent Views” My family and I enjoyed our stay this past weekend. The views are spectacular. You truly get a 180 degree view. You can sit on the porch and watch the sunrise coming across the Oak Island Lighthouse and sit and watch the sunset in the evenings. The property was very cozy and inviting. “Great Budget Getaway” We were tight on funds but still wanted a getaway near the beach. This rental fit all our needs at a more reasonable price. Only a short 5-10 min drive to the beach. There was plenty of seating in the living room for watching TV at night or sitting on the back patio area around the fire pit for nightly cornhole. It was a very enjoyable time.

“Decent house, well-stocked” We stayed here for the first year. The house was in a great location, with an easy walk to the beach. The kitchen was so well stocked and we loved the fact that the house provided both bed and bath linens (beds even made for us). We also liked the keyless entry, it was great not to have to worry about carrying a key. We did have an issue with the dishwasher not working which we were not told about. That was not a problem specifically with the house but with the realty company. We loved that the house was dog-friendly. It was nice and clean. We did, however, find a live roach in the sunroom but once we got rid of it, we did not find anymore fortunately. Overall, the house was very nice.
