“Cozy and full of amenities.” Our family lived this little cabin. It is an older home with a bit of a throw back feeling. The kids loved the setup of the rooms and the toys and games. Also, the tree house and swings are awesome. I appreciate that you have it locked up, as my little people are too small to enjoy it unsupervised. We loved that you have wet suits and boards for us to borrow! The smallest one fit our large 3 year old. By the end of our second day he was enjoying some waves with assistance. We did our best to rinse the gear per instructions. We really, really appreciated it all. Plenty of dishes, movies, and linens. The beds were cozy. We plan on returning!

“Hear and See the Ocean” Guest Yia Yia Date of stay 06/06/13 Review Submitted 06/18/13 .We kept our windows opened at night to hear the ocean. But during the day the views were amazing. Don, the owner described the home with 4 stories, and 35 windows and he was so right. We needed to rent the main house and the guest quarters which worked well for our large family. We visited the lighthouse, octopus tree, Tillamook Cheese Factory, but our grandchildren loved the tunnel and enjoying the beach. The home was beautiful and well furnished. Our oldest daughter made a wonderful meal where she set the large table and the card table for a sit down dinner. There was a matching table cloth and napkins to make the table spectacular. The multiple stories made the home roomy enough for family fun and quiet places for rest or reading times. The home itself is so well built and furnished with nautical touches and comfortable beds, and well equipped kitchens. My husband Jim and I slept in the guest quarters so we could have a quiet breakfast or a cup of coffee before meeting the rest of the family for a day of activities and fun. Thanks Don and Kay we will be back. Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

About Oceanside

Oregon's Central Coast is a hotspot with travelers looking for a quiet, relaxing and slow-paced vacation that's off the beaten track. Fishing enthusiasts from all over the world come to Oceanside and the Central Coast to take advantage of both coastal and inland angling opportunities, which rank among the finest in North America.

The Central Coast is also famous for its breathtaking and spectacular natural beauty, which is simultaneously accessible and awe-inspiring. The hilly coast is thickly lined with both coniferous and deciduous forests, making hiking and camping two of the region's most popular activities.

Some other sites of interest and locally popular activities include:

  • Lewis and Clark National Historic Park: This park is a must-see for visitors to the Central Coast region, offering historical context for the famous adventurers' famed journey across America as well as some of the area's finest scenery.
  • Hit the open water: Boating is one of the area's most beloved pastimes, and you'll find plenty of options whether you want a leisurely sail in the calm Pacific waters or a powerful motorboat to speed you up and down the cragged coastline.
  • Go whale watching: The chance to catch a glimpse of a whale in its natural habitat is of the Oceanside area's most unique opportunities.
  • Antiquing: Oregon's Central Coast is home to some of the best-stocked antique shops and flea markets in the United States.
  • Oregon Island Natural Wildlife Refuge: Spanning over 300 miles along the Oregon coast, the wildlife sanctuary is made up of almost 1,900 different islands and reefs which host a dazzling array of flora and fauna.

Rent a condo or villa for your stay on the Central Coast's picturesque beaches, particularly if you're bringing along a lot of fishing or hiking gear and need more room than you'll get in a cramped hotel room. These fully furnished properties offer more seclusion and privacy, are quieter and more relaxing, and come with all the comforts of home. If you're lucky enough to catch a fish during your day on the water, you'll be able to return to your vacation rental's fully equipped kitchen and prepare an unforgettable meal.

If you have some extra time on your hands and you find yourself craving the amenities and excitement of the city, cosmopolitan Portland lies just 80 miles east of Oceanside and makes the perfect day trip!

Special Occasion Home for a couple (s) or families
Milestone Celebration Location

We stayed at this location for a 40th birthday celebration. The setting is exquisite with views from the upper decks, and a 2 minute walk down to the beach. This home is clean and well setup with everything you could possibly need. Kitchen is stocked with all appliances and cookware for cooking for a large group. Gas fireplace in living room is wonderful for the cooler evenings. 3 bedrooms with Queen beds, plus a pull out couch, and the couch in the living room is really comfortable too if you need one extra spot for someone. Our friends booked this via flipkey.com and were very happy with the customer service and quick responses from the owners. If you go down to the beach, check out the tunnel at the end of the beach that goes through a "secret" tunnel and opens out onto another awesome beach with haystack rocks that look just like Cannon Beach. A perfect spot for watching sunsets. We'll be back!see more
KNOTTY PINE OCEAN VIEW CABIN- PET FRIENDLY- AWESOME OCEAN VIEW-AMAZING TREE DECK
Awesome Cabin!

My wife and I spent a few nights here 2 weeks ago. Our host was extremely helpful in helping us to get booked and settled in. The Cabin is very cozy. Just the 2 of us stayed there, but it could be pushed to 4 or 6. There is one bathroom, so that is biggest consideration in number of people there. Being able to open up the doors and windows on the ocean side of the cabin was a big plus. So nice to hear the surf crashing, especially at night! Big down comforter on master bed was nice to snuggle under as it cooled down. The place was well stocked with everything we needed. I was especially impressed with garage full of beach chairs, wagon, boogie boards, wet suits, gloves, hoodies and booties, etc.! And the new tree house is an engineering marvel that gives you unobstructed views of the 3 Arches and the beach. Great spot for sunset with a beer or glass of wine. The deck off the main level of Cabin also has very nice views as well. We wanted something that was reasonably affordable with ocean views and in a quiet place. Oceanside is a neat little town with only 2 small restaurants and a coffee bar. Roseanna's had nice seafood for dinner, and Blue Agate Café was great spot for breakfast burritos or eggs and waffles. Since the town is in a cul-de-sac off 101, there is no through traffic. Even though it was high-season, the beach wasn't crowded at all because it's so darn big! We had some great long walks and explored to the north. The Lighthouse is only 2 miles north, and lots more dining options to the south all the way down to Lincoln City. Highly recommend a stay here!see more
