“a relaxing experience” Knowing the area extremily well and just wanting a quiet winter half term break with our five and six year olds, we were far from disappointed with Hen argoed. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Loved the history of the cottage with its modern amenities. As we experienced fab weather for February, the view at the top of the lane in a morning, and out of the bathroom window(on tip toes) set you up for the day. Can't fault it and wouldn't hesitate in going again or recommending.

“Fell in love with Pensarn Hall.” Had a wonderful time staying here, clean,warm, and very comforable,all kitchen equipment supplied, absolutely loved it, didnt want to leave Central for all the places we wanted to visit. My only little ctiticism would be, that it wasn't sign posted and we had terrible trouble finding it, had to go and ask in the shop.

“great sunset views” really lovely place to stay.perfect for expoloring this part of wales. the house is very well eqipped with everything from chess to cork screw to washing up liqiud, hair chair and coffee maker! Very warm welcome and clean house with fantastic views out to the dunes and sea. we were lucky to view amazing sunsets in the lovely garden. towels and bedding were soft and clean . local shops friendly and the beach great. thanx go to the owner for the lovely welcome cake too!

Great holiday cottage

This was a lovely cottage, in a beautiful location. We were made to feel welcome and the cottage was like home from home with everything in it that you could possibly want. It also had a cosy feel to it. We visited the beach which is dog friendly and only about a 15 minute walk, or two minute drive from the cottage most days. Lots to see and do in the area, we did not get to do everything we wanted to do in the week we were there. Would definately return again and also recommend to family and friends. … see more

Enjoyable, friendly and ideal location

We loved the cottage, very clean and well equipped kitchen, rooms were generous compared with other cottages we have stayed in. Ideal for exploring this area of Wales, the cottage and area is ideal for walkers. You can have a day off from driving and jump on the train, 10 minute walk from the cottage, fantastic coastal views from the train. Only down side is there are no views from the sitting room. … see more

Without doubt Pensarn Hall was one of the best venues that our group has used. We have been having annual get-togethers all round the country for the past 20+ years. We are a group of 13 or 14, so need a good house with space & as many en-suite bedrooms as possible. The kitchen was a delight, so well equipped and organised with plenty of Portmerion china. Pensarn met all our criteria. What a wonderful setting it would be for a large family Christmas gathering. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. My only negative was the fact that if you brought a dog it would have to stay in the basement. I quite appreciate not having dogs in the house. I'm glad we didn't take ours. … see more
