“Memorable Stay” The staff were so helpful and friendly and especially the driver, Mart who saved our daughter who accidentally fell into the pool. Nice and spacious rooms. It gives us flexibility with this privately own space, pool and driver especially with 3 young kids. The kids enjoyed swimming at the pool and we were able to shop and cook at the villa. Driver service is definitely a good arrangement even the villa is situated 10mins away from the busy aonang beach, it doesn't matter bother us. Will definitely come back for another stay.

““Absolutely loved it - book, you will not be disappointed”” An absolute delightful stay in a wonderful villa The villa surpassed expectations -ie website in honesty does not do it justice We only had 6 nights which was not long enough, but had a brilliant stay Weather was roasting hot with sunny skies.We spent most days at the villa/complex, only venturing out one day to visit an elephant village We had planned to take train down to Hua Hin from Bangkok and had arranged Willie (taxi driver / tour operator as recommended by Martin/John) to pick us up at Hua Hin station. We went to Bangkok station the night before we were due to leave to purchase tickets,and unfortunately all trains were fully booked. We were in a bit of a panic, and sent John/Martin an email and they were able to arrange at last minute for a pick up from hotel in Bangkok straight to villa - excellant service much appreciated It was absolutely blissful to relax in such a wonderful villa - pool was excellent and was in the sun pretty much from sun rise - sun set, and despite the temperature hitting ~ 100 most days was still cool and refreshing. From the moment villa was booked , the information / assistance provided by John/Martin was 1st class, and stepping in at last minute to organise transport from Bangkok was appreciated. They also provide a mobile phone, which you can phone them should any problems arise (fortunately we had none) Guide Willie has a great knowledge of local area - he was very good with my kids, and on trip to elephant safari, he took my kids on the elephant trek and they were smitten with him. We have stayed in some superb hotels in Thailand over years (the standard of hotel we could not afford in europe), and also stayed in orlando villas on numerous occasions. This villa was the best of the lot.I would not know come to Thailand for a 2 week vacation with my kids and not book a villa after this experience I would thoroughly recommend this villa, and indeed the Hua Hin area for a holiday

“A great place to take time out” We loved our stay at Baan Phu Tawan! The villa is gorgeous - it's just like the photos and having the private pool was amazing. We were two couples and we stayed for a week. I thought cleaning once a week might not be enough but it turned out it was. The linens at the home could do with updating though, and after our cleaning service one of our bedrooms missed out on fresh beach towels. The walk to fisherman's village and the beach took 5-10 minutes and was pretty hot and smelly - we found ourselves catching taxis for 200 baht to escape it where we could. The fisherman's village is lovely with lots of great restaurants with good food that was fresh and prepared in obviously clean conditions. Marie, the caretaker of the house was great. She was super helpful in making sure we had everything that we needed and there to answer any questions we had. She even brought us a bottle of wine to make up for some noise from the pool in her villa being re-tiled - the noise hadn't bothered us at all but it was a really lovely gesture. I'd highly recommend a stay at Baan Phu Tawan. It's a little way away from the beach and town but the quality of the home is comparable to a resort and the value for money much better.

“Highly recommended” Stayed there for 4 great days. Excellent location and brilliant sea view! Basically everything you need is there. It's only 10 mins away from Patong and Kamala beach. Will definitely go back there again for my next trip! Thumbs up for this great house!

“Favourite Stay of the Year” I stayed with 4 friends last year while we were visiting Phuket for tennis competition. It was our favourite stay for the whole year. The villa is amazing! We really couldn't believe how cheap it was to stay there for such a beautiful villa. The owners are very nice people and were both always on hand to help throughout our stay. I highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed.

“We felt like the rich and famous!!! - What a dream place to stay” Well what can i say - I loved every minute of this place. Everything about Kulraya Villas is 5 star! * The house and view, the pool is absolutely stunning. * Bedrooms are beautiful - one looks over the pool and the other over the garden/hills * Two bathrooms which are both clean and to a high standard * Beds are huge - queen in one room and king in the other. Or a king and a XL king * The place is immaculate - you just call them when you want the room cleaned * The breakfasts are delicious - choice of continental or cooked * The food (if ordered) is well priced compared to hotels and is delivered to the villa promptly and is delicious. * The location is beautiful - perched up in the hills * There's a fully equip kitchen so great for families as well as a washing machine. * I could keep going on for ever as i loved so much about this place. The only thing i could say against the location is that you really need your own transport. ie car or motor bike. This isn't even really a problem as Ian and Luk can organise this for you at a good rate or just get one from the many places in town. We got a bike for 200 Baht a day! The beaches are lovely. The closest one is about a 3-4 min drive away with white sand and crystal blue water. Other surrounding beaches we loved was Relax Bay which was great for kids as its a small beach so you could always see the kids and the water is shallow. I want to go back there and have told all my friends about it.

“Amazing!!!” We had a wonderful time at Villa 36. Pictures online just don't do it justice. The view is breath taking and the villa itself is excellent. First class amenities all around and the house manager, Root was extremely helpful. I cannot even say how wonderful our experience was. I would highly recommend this villa. The beach is a short (though steep) walk away but once on the beach, it's paradise and there is a great beach restaurant we visited a number of times that had delicious Thai food. Villa is also in a perfect location - a short drive to Bophut and Fisherman's Village... out of the chaos of the other towns, but in still fairly close proximity to restaurants, night life, etc.

“We found paradise.” The villa, just like Koh Samui itself, is loaded with "Wow Factor". From the moment that we stepped through the door, we knew we had made the right decision in choosing this location. The villa is built into the mountain so that every room has a perfect and beautiful view. We eat, partied and spent most of our time by the pool. Andrew, our main point of contact while we were there, organised everything for us including chef, provisions, transport and plenty of insights on where to go and what to do. All that we had to do was relax, soak-in the sun and sights and enjoy our stay in paradise.

“My great holidays on the Samui Island, Thailand. Idyllic Resort.” In the airport I was picked up by the owner of the Idyllic Resort (Hans Beeftink) and his lovely wife (Lana Beeftink). The whole trip from the airport to the Resort takes about 10 minutes. In the Idyllic Resort I was living in the Orchid Villa. That villa is located approximately 100 meters away from the shore. And the whole way from the Villa's door to the beach is pure pleasure: at the beginning you overcome a short distance among palms and blooming bushes of orchids and then the rest of the way it is a long tunnel covered with many coloured flowers and in the end of your short trip to the beach you are met by white, clean sand and by a blue stripe of South China Sea. Probably I should mention that the beach is private and there is no access for strangers. The Orchid Villa consists of two buildings. One building includes a big fully equipped kitchen which is integrated with a cosy living room, a bedroom with a double bed and of course a toilet and a shower. As well that building has a big terrace and a summer bed outside. Another building consists of two bedrooms with toilet, shower and everything what you need for sleeping and nice time being inside of the room. Those two buildings are separated by a swimming pool with two beach beds and lawn. The Resort consists also of other Villas, they are all different but made with great taste and love in order to make you feel yourselves as at home. In the main office which is located right next to the entrance to the Resort, you can find a nice small library which is there because some people have left there many books after their holidays. There are many books in many languages, plus, DVD disks with movies and music. As well in the main office you can find a coffee machine, a fridge with fizzy drinks, high quality alcohol and chocolate. Also the Resort provides so many other services/ options which make you even happier there than you are at that moment of time!

“Great time in Koh Lanta with family” I have rented Laurent Pinci's villa for a short stay in Koh Lanta with my family in Feb 2013. “Perfect for the family” We arrived reasonably late, Herriot kindly arranged for our pick-up & drop-off. Check-in was breezy! It was bigger than we expected (which is never an issue!) 3 bedrooms and a living room with the pool & a bit of a garden separating them. We were a family of 6 adults and 1 toddler, this villa was a great size for us, in fact it can easily accommodate a slightly bigger group. Having the pool just right at our door step was a bonus especially after being out on a humid day. For families with wandering toddler, be mindful of the pool being just there. We didn't have any issues with Eian who is 2.7 years. We explained the pool rules to him so every time he wanted to swim he would announce it rather loudly :-). The courtyard is such a great place to chill, we spent quite a bit of time by the pool chatting and reading. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable - with plenty of towels to last us for weeks. Our room had a slight damp smell to it probably due to it not being used for a while, 2 other rooms and living room was fine. The kitchen was sufficient for cooking and there's also washing machine, tv etc - it was just like staying in a house. Some of the kitchen utensils needed to be washed before we used it due to grease but that was easily sorted. They cleaned the pool once when we were there and the garden was well kept too. There's always someone at the office to help with tours/car rental ( even on Sundays). We rented a car on our last day there with the help of the office and also hired a driver. Pisit was warm and very patient with our 'wants', even waited when we shopped at Tesco! and when he couldn't accommodate to our requests he would always find an alternative driver for us. The location of the villa is convenient as it is fairly central, it depends on what the group wants to do of course. It's about 40 mins to even the furthest part of Phuket. The next time we travel in a group to Phuket - we would definitely look into renting Jah Villa again!!
