“Perfect” We stayed in guesthouse one, which was perfect for my family of three. We all agreed that there wasn't anything we would change about our stay. The house and grounds were very clean and beautiful. I loved sitting on the lovely deck in the morning and listening to the birds wake up in the forest. It was nice to have the washing machine right by the house, even the detergent was supplied. It was also nice to have cooking oils and spices available, I would not have bought them for a one week stay, but it was great to be able to spice up our meals. Rob and Uli are very friendly and are a wealth of knowledge about things to do in the area. They are able to book tours, and can recommend everything from the best day for visiting the reef based on tides and weather, to the best ice cream in the area. The view from the pool area is breathtaking. We loved staying at Sunrise Retreat, and I have already recommended it to a coworker who will be visiting the Port Douglas area next year.

“Loved, loved, loved the ocean views.” Very special indeed. The house is big and the plunge pool is on a separate deck downstairs. The pool is properly fenced off to keep kids safe so we did not have to worry. Great location, very peaceful, yet convenient. Thanks for great holiday.
