“Comfortable, quiet and relaxing” Casa Pozzillo is in a beautiful location in a quiet village in Eastern Sicily, not far from Catania. It's beautifully furnished, with attention to detail, has a well-appointed kitchen and comfortable bedroom, and a fold-out sofa for another person. From the house you can walk out straight onto the sea, and go walking across the volcanic rocks, admire the peace and tranquility, and look out over Etna. Locally, there's a bar and a few shops where you can get everything you need. The people are very friendly, and you get a real sense of the Sicilian way of life! We loved the whole place, the apartment, the village, and the countryside. We also came at a time when there were few tourists - April - and would recommend that, although the weather is unpredictable. Francesco was extremely accommodating, and I would heartily recommend this to anybody wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of life for a week.

“very quiet holiday and nice persons” The staff of the place has been very kind and professional. The room was clean and quiet. All around is very quiet even if it's very close to Nicolosi village. From the home is very easy to do excursion to the Etna vulcan. We recommend it!

“We did it again - We came back to Etnamare” The short story is: we did something that we've never done before, we visited the same place a second time ... and we do not exclude to do it again, maybe to investigate Sicily also once in a different season.The longer story: Etnamare belongs to the most perfect places I've ever been to. We are travelling ...as a family with 2 kids (4 and7). Etnamare is a great place for many different tours, e.g. within 20 minutes you are on top of Etna or down at the sea, you have the sandy beaches of Catania and places to snorkel like acitrezza, Taormina or the valley of alcantara are close. The house itself is very spacious and comfortably equipped. There is a huge (really huge) garden attached to the house and the pool is the center of it. Angelo and Nadia are perfect hosts and they belong to the good reasons why one wants to visit this place again. The pool is even nicer than you can see from the pictures. From some perspectives the sea and the pool truely seem to melt together and turning around gives you full view on Etna's activity. This year we "only" had smoke but last year we saw it twice in real action, something that we will never forget for sure. Also important to mention that there has both times been very good contacts between guests from the different appartments, especially important for the kids. The terrace and the opportunity for having a barbecue makes it also a great place for a superb italian feast.Angelo and Nadia, thanks for having us as your guests. Ci vediamo.

“Quiet and Comfortable” This rental is a little out of the city, which creates a quiet and comfortable stay away from the city center, yet it is close enough to enjoy the city of Catania and surrounding area. Alessandro and Zuzana were gracious hosts who took me out exploring to enjoy the sun in acireale and to hike Mt. Etna. Their English is easy to understand and helpful when navigating the streets of Catania. They are knowledgeable about the area, recommending places to see and restaurants to go to. This created an enjoyable experience and allowed me to go to places and see things that are not in guidebooks. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting Catania and wanting to explore Sicily.

A taste of real Sicily - a gem of a find in the middle of a town

I stayed here with my family in July. The house has been beautifully refurbished - modern enough for comfort while retaining a definite sense of authentic Sicily. On arrival, basic groceries had been left for us including homemade biscuits, apple jam and fresh oranges from the orchard. The owners were very helpful, providing us with tips on where to go - Le Palme was a real hit for icecreams - and helping us to organise a trip up Mount Etna. It was a good base to visit that part of the island. Would definitely recommend it to friends. … see more

We absolutely loved our stay in Catania. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. The owner,Giovanni, was a very gracious and helpful host that made our stay even more enjoyable. He told us about all the most important things to see and we weren't disappointed. We were less than 10 minutes from the main markets and Cathedral(an amazing fish market on Saturday)and there was a grocery store and pasticerias nearby. The Mount Etna excursion was definitely worth it - although we would have liked to buy a t-shirt that said we climbed Mt. Etna (craters). I would highly recommend staying in this apartment and next time we will stay for more than 3 days … see more

Very relaxing and enjoyable holiday surrounded by nature

We came to Casa Etnea for a week with our three children. We enjoyed the stay very much. The house is lovely, decorated with taste and the outside garden and surrounding nature is fantastic. The house has amazing views of kilometres of the coast and Catania, as well as views of Etna. Giuseppe, the owner, was very helpful and forthcoming. He showed us around and recommended a number of interesting walks and trips. He was available any time we needed something. Comfortable and conveniently located with gracious hosts

My finance and I, along with my parents, spent five nights at il pozzo e l'ulivo. The accomodations were very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms/bathrooms were roomy, and the kitchen provided all the amenities we needed to feel at home.
