Sea View - Naxos Bay and Taormina - Best Location!

Giardini Naxos apartment

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 5

“So good I cannot wait to go back!” Location, comfort, cleanliness and the helpfulness of the owner were outstanding! I have bad knees, but the elevator never failed, so I didn't have to climb stairs. Lorrie advised me on shopping for the best buys, restaurants with the greatest food, markets for produce and fresh pasta, location of pizza parlors, and everything else I could want. I also have a bulging disk in my back, but the bed was so comfortable I slept without pain every night. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, glassware and silverware; even detergent and other amenities were in place. Bathroom was spacious and spotless. Balcony view was breathtaking. Less than 10 minutes walking distance from shopping, restaurants, the beach and ocean. Color combinations of furniture, bedspread, rugs, etc. tied in with the ocean and sunshine. It was the trip of a lifetime! Lorrie knew directions to all the tourist sights, too, and there are many.

Charming house in Cianciana, Agrigento, Sicily

Novara di Sicilia house

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“Beautiful townhouse, wonderful location, lovely welcoming commun” Beautiful traditional Sicilian townhouse, comfortably equipped with a modern kitchen, 2 modern shower rooms and two large bedrooms. The rooms were clean, spacious and well laid out with the ground floor bedroom with double doors leading to the quiet street. The main bedroom has a beautiful balcony as does the top floor kitchen with views of the lovely countryside and the valley below. Cianciana is a quaint town with the most welcoming people I have ever met. All the amenities you would expect with a lovely bakery just a few streets away and many shops selling the most delicious food nearby. Plenty to see and do but would recommend a hire car to really experience the breath taking delights this beautiful island has to offer. I had the good fortune of visiting in Spring and the countryside was breathtakingly beautiful, lush and green with spring flowers covering the hillside amongst the many arrays of Olive and citrus groves. We had a wonderful trip and would love to visit there again someday. Would definitely recommend La Casa Francestina as a place to stay.

Holidays in Sicily - Villa Rosi
Beautiful villa with breathtaking views

We stayed here last year and returned again in July for our honeymoon as we really could't think of anywhere else we would rather go. The villa is beautiful, clean and well equipped and the pool is a welcome escape from the heat! There is plenty to do in the local area with stunning beaches, enticing restaurants and plenty of places to explore! We also traveled a bit further afield and went to Savoca, Modica, Taomina with a day trip to the volcanic island of Stromboli. We would highly recommend visiting these places if you can. But more importantly for us, the owners really care about their guests comfort and well being and this helped ensure that our stay was relaxed and worry free. We will certainly be staying here again in the future.see more
ComeInSicily Rosal Beachfront superior 1-bedroom apartment
Stunning view , good position, fair owners

We stayed in this appartment at March so we couldn't enjoy a sand beach of Giardini Naxos located literally meters from there. Beautifil Taormina is very close , and Etna volcano is just in your window. Both Cattania and Messina are less then hour of driving so the location is perfect if you have a car. The appartment is very nice, bright and convinient. The building is a bit outdated but it seems to be right for every building around. The owners are very nice people and really do their best to make your stay there unforgettable.see more

Ciao Sicily!

We've just came back and still under impression of Sicily.. To cut it short - great time in greate location! We did not have any problem neither with apartment nor with the owners, they are very friendly and helpful people. The apartment is clean and pretty, corresponds the description on the site. There is wifi free of charge that was important for us because of job. Particularly would like to acknowledge central beachfront location of the house and great view from the terrace - Etna and the sea at the same time - very impressive!see more
Charming house in Cianciana, Agrigento, Sicily
Interesting & Wonderful Experience

If you wish to experience unspoilt Sicily and live alongside the villagers then this is the holiday for you. Although the accommodation is basic it is clean and colourful. The village itself is welcoming and charming. Beautiful architecture and bars and shops are all within walking distance. Although the beaches are a 20-30 min car drive away (the nicest beach has Roman ruins close by and is predominantly used by the locals), it's well worth the mountainous drive. I absolutely loved it and so did my companion. We felt extremely healthy and refreshed after staying for a week and I would so love to return. We took a day trip to Mount Etna and I've never seen anything so incredible. We had fantastic weather and I completely fell in love with Sicily. P.S. I must admit it helped that we both loved football as we were able to ingratiate ourselves to the locals in a bar that had a TV on the verandah.see more
Spacious 2 bedroom apartment (Simeto) with pool and terrace
Idyllic

As a family we had never been abroad and had got into the rut of feeling it wasn't possible. A family event forced our hand and it opened our eyes to how wonderful it could be. The Lemon Tree is ideal for families. You could not ask for a better location, such a relaxed place to be, gorgeous and spacious apartment, lovely courtyard area, almond/olive/citrus trees, pool, games, bbq and wonderful hosts - so helpful yet discrete, great local advice and they make simply the best olive oil I've ever tasted!! Do not hesitate.see more
VILLA OASIS Amazing Private Pool TAORMINA
Exceeded our expectations

Villa Oasis is a place you can stay put, rather than run around. The place offers comfort so you can work or study for part of the day, or just relax and take in the air, sounds and views. Nevertheless there is a lot to see or do in the immediate area if you need to make contact with the world. This was our first trip to Sicily but instead of touring the whole island we opted to hang out, avoiding running from town to town, hotel to hotel, packing, unpacking, etc. Our selection of the Villa and Sicily, based totally on whim, ended up to be a pleasant surprise. Even for the uninitiated, the journey to the villa, including the arrival at Catania airport, the car rental, the +1 hr drive to the highway exit meeting point (with Beatrice, our initial guide) and the uphill journey through picturesque towns, villages and hamlets on steep switchback roads seemed to be a breeze. The villa is perched on a terrace cut into the side of a luxuriously vegetated hillside facing southwest. With its high altitude the terrace is bathed in sunlight throughout the day and has incredible views and vistas. The first thing you notice is the silence, after which you can hear the birds, barking dogs in the distance and the wind. The terrace has luxurious amenities including a pool, an outdoor kitchen, shade trees, furniture and a fireplace. It is finished with porcelain so you can walk around barefoot. The residence is ranch like, spreading across the terrace, with lots of windows and doors to the outside. It has a exposed wood ceilings which gives the place a lot of warmth. The floors, except for the bedrooms are finished with colourful ceramic and are easy to clean. The abundant living space allows us to spread out. The furniture is contemporary and welcoming. The attic like bedrooms with their plank wood flooring, comfortable beds and small windows were very cosy. We arrived in mid October, and stayed 10 days. In October not only do the days get shorter but the nights are cool. Every evening we lit a fire in the splendid fireplace, with firewood that Franko cut for us. Franko is the groundskeeper who is very kind and looks after the pool, maintains the terrace and removes garbage from the property, every other morning. During our stay, the interior was immaculately cleaned by Helena. When we arrived we were received by Alberto, the owner, at the house who showed us all the important things necessary while saying there. While his english was as poor as our Italian, his partner Tanja whom we never met but with whom we stayed in constant contact throughout our stay via the computer, was quite fluent and gave us some very good advice about what to see and do. When we ventured out we took long walks along the surrounding quiet country roads, sparsely populated, with the occasional sheep, dogs or farmer. The walks were through rustic abandoned stone hamlets, sleepy villages, dusty farms, colourful vineyards, shady orchards all mingled with olive, acorn, chestnut trees and cactus. The nearest village, Casalvechio was a 45 minute walk. It is a hill town with narrow streets slightly wider than our Smartcar. Nevertheless, the village has two butcher shops both affiliated with local farms. We frequented one, a surprisingly modern shop that would fit in well in any world metropolis and where we were able to get all the fresh meat, cheese and wine that we required, on a daily basis. As well we dined out in very fine eating establishments in Savoca, the next closest town. We explored across the valley by car visiting the towns and hilltops which we could see from our villa including Limina and Roccafiorita. We visited Mt Aetna whose peak we could see on clear days, the village of Forza D’Agro, with many small restaurants, the touristic Taormina and the beach town of Santa Teresa di Rivera, adorned with specialty shops including hardware, supermarket, shoes, bank machines and gelato, etc.see more
