  • Visit the Duomo Santa Catarina: This ancient Christian church was built on the foundations of a temple to Zeus.
  • Take a boat tour of Mazzaro Bay: Take a carter sailing trip and see the beautiful coastline and Mount Etna from a new perspective.

Exceeded Expectations - Wonderful Stay

I stayed at Residence Schuler in apt. B for three months from January-March 2011. I could not have been more pleased with my choice. The building is perfectly situated, with beautiful views of the sea and Mt. Etna from the terraces. Breathtaking! The apartment was lovely and comfortable - a well appointed kitchen, modern bathroom and washer. The location is ideal: a 5 minute walk to the main street - the Corso Umberto - but far enough away that you don't hear the noise. The largest grocery store in Taormina is also 5 minutes away. There is a set of stairs just past the residence that leads you directly down to the grocery store, so you don't have to walk down the narrow street. In addition to all these pluses, the on-site management is fantastic. Claudio is very attentive and very helpful. He's there anytime you need him to answer questions or help out in any way. All in all, Residence Schuler was a wonderful choice for a vacation home and I highly recommend it. … see more

Flawless

What a great experience. This is a very class apartment that could not be better located ... 5 mins walk to Taormina's best granite (Bam Bar), 5 mins walk to very well maintained clay tennis courts, 5 mins walk to the funiculare down to the beaches. The apartment's terrace looks out over the sea, the rooftops and the Greek amphitheater. When you exit the flat you emerge onto the main pedestrian route, Corso Umberto, a few steps from Porta Messina. High quality furnishings throughout, lovely linens that you know the family would use for themselves. The flat was immaculately clean and everything worked. Not to mention that the air conditioning was a real bonus after a hot august day at the beach. Just be aware that it is a top floor flat with lots of stairs, but then you've got the views. Beautiful Villa in Beautiful Sicily

We arrived at the gates of Le Case del Principe and was thrilled to find the perfect place with wonderful, clean and well maintained accomodations. There was plenty of room for the twelve adults plus three children. We wondered through the groves, enjoyed the pool, the air conditioned rooms and well decorated villa filled with all that you would need. It is a beautiful place to stay plus it is very convenient by car to Taormina, Mt Etna, Alcantara and the pristine beaches found along the coast. Our family had a memorable stay visiting family, soaking in the sun, sitting under the gorgeous trellis with a table to sit all 24 of us or spending our nights out on the patio reminiscing about what we saw that day. Our only reget is that it had to end and that our time was short. There is no doubt, if we ever had the opportunity to return to Sicily, Villa Etna would be where we would stay. Bravo!! … see more

Nice holiday in Taormina

We stayed at the Lemon tree for a week in October in 2013 with a young child. For us, it was ideal, since we were able to stay in and cook, and it was close (driving distance) to the beach and the city. Apartments were nice and well equipped. Hosts were very friendly and helpful (even lent us food so we could cook when we arrived). Area is beautiful and lots to do. We enjoyed our stay. … see more

10 perfect days in Taormina

From the moment Signor Padano drove us to the entrance we immediately felt the worries of the world disappear. The Housekeeper greeted us with warmth and we knew we were in the right place for us. Not large but ideal and with everything we 2 required. We settled in...a little curious about the entrance to the second bedroom however the history was explained by the daughter of the house some days later. We unpacked walked to the foot of the driveway to collect some provisions from the friendly ladies at the local shop...then relaxed on the terrace for a gentle evening looking at the view and sipping our wine. The following days we visited local Sicilian restaurants and spent a number of late afternoons on the Terrace of the beautiful Villa Sant andrea which the apartment overlooks. The cable car up to the centre of Taormina was a 5 minute walk away and a 5 minute ride to the heart of this my favourite holiday place in the world. We loved Taormina Sicily by the Sea for the peace, the view, the convenience and the attention we received from the owners to any query we had.
