“Great Place!” My husband and I, had a great time at this condo. It was well maintained and perfect for our family. Having the pool close by on the ground floor was perfect for my kids and Claudia at the reception was incredibly helpful. I really appreciated all the help Tony provided prior to the trip. We referenced his helpful tips and recommendations throughout the trip and it really enhanced our vacation experience. We would definitely stay here again.

“Relaxing, near town, comfortable, and taken care of...” Once at the Hda Clemencito, we where met by the caretakers, shown the property, as the bags where taken to our rooms, the home was clean and very comfortable, the staff took care of us like family. The property is large and clean, suited for long walks, tennis, lap pool and jacuzzi. The location was very secure, that insured our privacy. The Chappel was perfect for a marriage ceremony early afternoon on a Sunday. The catering by the staff was wonderful, they used what we bought at the market, and when needed, the staff arranged for the shopping and cooking of desired meals. Breakfast was always on time and delicious, having traditional Mexican dishes, to hot cakes. Several times the staff, prepared dishes for diner, and for a wedding ceremony, the food was great and service was excellent. “My 2nd stay and I plan my 3rd trip again soon!!!” This was my second visit to Guanaja Caribbean Cottages and I can't wait to go back again. The cottage is adorable and having top quality towels & linens are a real plus. I also appreciate the pillow top queen size bed, most places in the islands only have a mattress on a bare board! Having a full kitchen is nice, but I didn't need it, I ate all my meals ate the resort. This time I was more adventurous. Kay, the owner, took me on a hike to an amazing waterfall close to the resort. We had it all to ourselves, well a pup followed us up & that added to the island charm. We sat by the pool of the waterfall for most of the afternoon, then stopped at Bo's place for a cool drink before heading back to the cottage. I snorkeled the reef the last time I was there, but this time Kay took me on a snorkel tour to the drop off. I saw an amazing variety of sea life, including nurse sharks. Kay said 95% of all Caribbean sea life can be found at Guanaja. I also enjoyed the snorkel tour to Red Hill, it was a coral garden, also beautiful and like swimming in an aquarium. The coral & fish at the coral garden are different than the sea life on the reef, except I did see a nurse shark both places. The octopus was also amazing & the giant green moray eel. I also had a tour of the local fishing village, Mangrove Bight. The people are very friendly and the village is like visiting the old Caribbean. I loved the variety of meals- crab, lobster, lamb, and local cuisine that I had never had before. The dinners are four course and I was stuffed after dinner. The deserts that really stood out for me was the creme brulee, pineapple flambe and flan. Even the soups & salads were special. Kay makes a green papaya salad that is so good, it had fresh mango and pineapple in it and a local cheese with a homemade pineapple vinegerette. The food was one of the highlights of the trip.

“Honeymoon in Dreamsicle” My husband and I stayed at Maya Beach Hotel in the Lower Dreamsicle House for our Honeymoon in May. Our experience with Maya Beach Hotel and the staff was outstanding. Our "house" was clean, and private, with beautiful views of the ocean and just steps away from the restaurant. It was so nice to sit on the lower porch and enjoy our coffee and breakfast each morning, and enjoy a cool beverage while sitting on the beach with our feet keeping us cool in the ocean waves. When we wanted to explore the area or take adventures, Ellen and her staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. Martin was always willing to give us our options for activities and help us coordinate our adventures. Without their help and recommendations, we wouldn't have been able to experience the local favorite hot spots or organize our adventures with ease. It was so nice that they coordinated someone to pick us up and drop us off at the airport for our arrival and departure. You can tell they really enjoy what they do, and their passion is unmatched. When we come back to Belize we will definitely stay at Maya Beach Hotel and we recommend it to anyone looking for a beach front relaxing vacation!

“Love Nah Uxibal!!!” I have just returned home from a wonderful time at Nah Uxibal in Mexico, it is by far one of the most relaxing and wonderful experiences. I swam and snorkeled every day and spent time on the white sandy beaches reading. Nah Uxibal is one of my favorite places on earth, I always feel well taken care of and so relaxed. Victoria and Javier are wonderful care takers always available for questions or help with what ever is needed and so very kind. The property and the rooms are cleaned every day and the property is well tended to and very secure. The kitchen is stocked when we arrive and the rooms were clean and set up very nicely. This trip we hired a chef recommended by Jeannette and he was totally amazing, cooking us healthy yummy meals and such a good spirit and it was quite reasonably priced! I would highly recommend it with large groups. I have visited Nah Uxibal three times and it always has a wonderful feeling of beauty and comfort. Jeannette and Skip have created an amazing magical place in Nah Uxibal. I look forward to returning to Nah Uxibal!! it is surely hard to leave. I spent a day in Tulum shopping for gifts for friends back home and it is so easy to get there and back either driving or taking the little shuttle bus from the main road. Every time I visit I always visit the ruins either in Tulum or Coba this time I visited Ek Balam which was also amazing. I also really enjoy swimming in the cynote that are all over the Tulum area. But my favorite time spent in Mexico is at Nah Uxibal and spending time in the water swimming, snorkeling or kayaking or reading on the beach and not going anywhere. The beaches are well kept and groomed. As the days pass relaxation sets in and the worries of life melt away and it regenerates the spirit. Thank you Nah Uxibal and Jeannette, Skip, Javier and Victoria!!! I want all my loved ones to experience such beauty and regeneration of spirit!!!

“Awesome Week” My son and I spent a week at Sea Palms. Can't say enough about it; the condo is clean and well maintained. The views of the ocean and sun set are spectacular, and having Miss Rose (the house keeper) cooking meals that made it hard to put down your fork. In the evenings we would sit on the balcony and watch the ocean drinking fresh coconut water and eating fruit we picked up at roadside stands. My son would have bobbed around in the protected cove all week long. All the tropical fish you see snorkeling around in the cove are amazing. There's almost no reason to leave the grounds, but if you do there's plenty to do right near by: Dunn's River, Dolphin Cove, Beaches, shopping down town Ocho Rios. If you're looking for a place where you can slow down to the island pace of life, this is a great spot. You can head out and find something new to do every day or just sit on the private beach and forget about life for a while. Looking forward to going back!!

“God's Oasis” My family and I just arrived back from our stay @ Casa Hacienda about a week ago. However the memories and visions of paradise are still so fresh in our minds we still feel as though we are there. Mattias was amazingly helpful right from the start answering all of questions promptly numerous times & really took the time to make sure we understood everything. Greatly appreciated... El Cuyo it self is a very tiny fishing village in what seems like the middle of no ware.. However, it is the essence of beauty and its beaches/water pristine. Only time we saw other people "Tourists" was during the weekend of Easter and it was only for 2 days due to the festival they have their yearly.. Truly an amazing party and glad we were able to experience it. Other than those 2 days the beaches were all ours. Casa Hacienda was perfect for my family as we have two teenage boys and a young daughter. We chose to rent the entire house as it comes with a king bed in one room w attached bath, and another room with 2 twin beds and attached bath. There is aC if it is too hot. Two T.V.'s and DVD players, as well as fully furnished with all cooking/eating materials. The house was perfect in all regards... Truly miss sitting on the front porch in the hammock with a Sol in my hand. Highly recommend renting a car so that you may travel an hr or so in different directions and see the wonders of Yucatan that lie an 1hr or so away. Cenotes, & Pyramids are breathtaking. Remiga & here family are the best... if we had room in our bags I am sure we would have taken them home with us. She took care of every need or question we had and make the best food around. You must try her fish!!! She constantly made us feel like family.. I highly recommend this area and this casa to anyone who is looking for the best beaches without all the people & hustle and bustle. Its ruff, rare & divine, making it a magical and memorable Gem you must experience. Go now!!! The Hargreaves Family.

“Year # 6” I recently returned from the Riviera Maya and my 6th year stay at Villas DeRosa Resort. In my reasonably priced dive package they included: airport transfers, a comfortable and clean ocean front condo, and an abundance of good food, transportation to the dive sites and some great dive guides. The common areas, pool and beach are safe and clean. The staff is friendly, flexible and willing to help. Planning year #7. dhw

“Just what we're looking for...” My Boyfriend and I were looking for a small intimate place to stay for my Birthday. And we found it at The Villas DeRosa! We stayed in a 1bd beach front condo over looking the amazing ocean below. The service was amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic! We love akumal and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Don't let the dirt road off the highway that leads to the resort fool you..it truly is a diamond in the rough. We're looking forward to our next visit.

“Great beach experience with all the conveniences.” Great location in akumal on the beach. Accommodations were spacious and prices excellent. They have a cook who will deliver meals to your own dinning room at very reasonable costs and the food is very good. The accommodations are not plush but very clean and all of the people who work there are muy simpatico.

“I really liked it” A lovely place to stay. The Flip Flop Palace is secluded and private whilst being within moments of the Maya Beach Hotel so there is always someone close at hand should you need them. I found the service excellent. Everyone from Ellen, one of the owners, to the reception staff to the wonderful housekeeping ladies were fabulous. The waiters in the restaurant also gave spot on service and were so friendly. And a special mention to the lovely Marlon who was so welcoming and friendly. The Flip Flop Palace is great and I loved staying there. Thicker curtains at the bedroom window would have been good as I was woken up early by the rising sun every morning until I thought to hang beach towels over the curtain rail to keep the light out. The location is amazing. One of my favourite places was the promenade/jetty where I loved to go and sit and read. As far as the amenities, the best thing for me was the hotel having a guest computer so you could check emails etc whenever you needed to. Equally importantly was the quality of the food, which was outstanding. I am a vegetarian and was not expecting to find it easy to get veggie food in Belize at all, but the Maya Beach restaurant not only served vegetarian food, but it was superb, and you have more than one dish to choose from! I'm not surprised the restaurant has won awards. I liked best having my own place, rather than a room in a hotel. I liked least the pitch black walk from the hotel to the Flip Flop Palace at night (take a torch!).
