“Beautiful cottage, magic location” We had a fabulous stay at Karaka Cottage. The cottage is lovely - it has everything you could need and is beautifully furnished - a very stylish 'kiwi bach'. The location on the estuary at Mapua is stunning too - totally tranquil, but still close enough to everything (a couple of minutes to the wharf at Mapua, which has some good places to eat) and about a 20 minute drive back to Nelson. It's also on the way to abel Tasman of course - but we were just in the mood to relax, so were quite happy just to enjoy the cottage surrounds. The outside bath was amazing, with just the sound of the many estuary birds for company in the evening. Just perfect! And in the morning, the sun streamed in from across the water - which was gorgeous on a late winter morning. (the cottage is very warm in the winter too - has a great wood burner). Thanks so much - we'll definitely be back!

“A wonderful, comfortable and quiet place” We stayed in the house in august 2013. The house is just perfect: large, comfortable, extremely quiet, and perfectly equipped. I cannot mention a single flaw. The house is at walking distance (200m) from the most beautiful beach of Naxos: white sand and crystal-clear water. Then, you have the choice: walk right and you have a whole range of restaurants, bars, private beaches. Walk left and the beach is wild. The terrace on the second floor has a nice view on the sea and on the sunset. Naxos is a beautiful island that offers many sites to visit (small villages, ruins) and different landscapes. Be sure to rent a car; it's cheap. Be also sure to make a boat trip round the Island . I definitely recommend that house, especially for a family that's looking for independence and tranquility. As said by other reviewers, Athena, the owner, is very kind and helpful.

“Perfect” We had a wonderful stay at Villa GG and will give it the best recommendation. We were 17adults and two small kids and everybody said it was a fantastic place and vacation. The Villa had everything, baby beds and strollers for the kids, and a play house in the garden. The host , GG, was very kind. He arranged pick up at the airport for us, gave us a warm welcome with wine and a cheese, gave us a lot of good tips on where to eat and what to see. The villa was very modern and had all the facilities we wanted. The main bathroom was like a spa:) The location of the Villa was also very good. 2 minutes to the beach and a small grocery shop. Very nice area to do exercise like running, bicycle in the mountains and play tennis. We rented a car so it was easy to drive in to Split if we wanted to go to a bigger shopping mall, but GG is also helpful in arranging transportation. We had a fantastic time and I really hope we will be back soon. Thank you so much GG and Croatia for the unforgettable week!

“wonderful” we spent 9 days there and we loved every day - even the 2 it was pouring. (so we could light the fireplace!) it is a very cozy little cottage, totally private, very clean, perfectly equipped (esp. the kitchen), great beds to sleep well, we loved the retro interior and the views from all windows - even the toilet one ;) we stayed there with a 1 year old and she liked it just like us. the location is excellent because it's right by the water, which is coming and going twice a day ;-), very close to nice little mapua, also close to motueka (e.g. big supermarkets) and also abel tasman ntl. park, beaches etc. nelson is also not too far. the owner was very helpful and friendly and we'd definitely come more often ... if we didn't live on the other side of the globe.

“Cretan Hospitality and Memorable Holidays” We have enjoyed a lovely week! The villa is wonderful, much more comfortable than anywhere else we stayed at in Greece. The surrounding area is beautiful! We have enjoyed lazy days by the pool, watching the swallows drink the water! Lapa and the White mountains were very interesting and the scenery was amazing. Rethymno is well worth the visit for eating and shopping. Eva and Stratos have been wonderful hosts and have made us feel very welcome! Thank you Eva for the delicious edible treats, we especially enjoyed the breakfast cake and Eva’s own olive oil!!! “Unforgettable” Lothian House is breathtaking We have stayed there as a family a number of times both in the winter and in the summer. The number of activities is huge and varied: from horseriding to swimming to walking in the vineyards - nearby golf courses are goood and very reasonably priced too - not to mention the award winning wines once its time to kickback and properly relax. The hospitality too is first class, its personal and friendly but comprehensive. I would recommend Lothian House for an unforgettable stay and experience. Its also a unique and hugely impressive venue for a corporate or special social occasion given the setting and the design. cannot recommend highly enough.

“Luxury Golf Experience” Besides being a fantastic golf house, this home is ideal for family or group vacations. The vistas across the Kinloch Golf Club are spectacular and we enjoyed being able to walk right onto the golf course from the back yard. This house has everything including a fully functional kitchen, comfortable living areas, and 4 large bedrooms with great views. All the bedrooms are spaciously appointed with ensuite bathrooms, heated towels and comfy bathrobes! The home also has a nifty electronic panel to control the lighting, gas fireplace, and music system containing over a hundred albums. Best of all was the warm hospitality that alistair and his wife Kirstie showed us. They stocked the pantry with breakfast supplies, made dinner reservations for us in Taupo, and helped us book a private chef for our last dinner at the house. Alistair can give you the inside scoop on the golf at Kinloch and other courses around NZ. He can also recommend several great things to do in the area including hikes, walks, bike trails, boating, fishing, and helicopter tours. Too bad we didn't have more time to take it all in. We loved staying here and would certainly recommend it to everyone! Thanks for a lovely time! Cannot wait to return!
