“Amazing experience!” My first trip to Sri Lanka was a truly amazing experience and the icing on the cake was my stay at Frangipani House. The house is set in tranquil surroundings, overlooking paddy fields, a peaceful place to recharge the batteries . Far enough away from the hustle & bustle but close enough to beaches & attractions within minutes- the best of both worlds! Frangipani House & Ranil the property host are first class. Nothing is too much trouble for Ranil, his hosting & cooking skills are superb & second to none, as well as his knowledge of this beautiful country. I would highly recommend a stay at Frangipani House, I can't wait to go back!

“Heaven on Earth!” I stayed at The Petals for 2 weeks and can't rate it highly enough with only 5stars! This place is a pure heaven on Earth. You wake up in the morning with the beautiful sounds of nature, cup of the best tea in the world, fresh papaya juice, breakfast like nowhere else from Upul the amazing chef and refreshed with freshly chopped king coconut. If you decide not to go to the beach you can easily spend a day here around the pool or with tons of books and board games, otherwise the most beautiful beaches are only walking distance away or about £1 with tuc-tuc. During the day you'll be looked after by Upul and Jagarth 2 amazing guys and now also friends for which no request is a problem. The best way to explore the area is by motorbike but you have to be a very good rider since on the road no rules apply, if that's not the case the taxi's and tuc tuc's are incredibly cheap but ask the price first. By the way a stunning tea farm and factory is only 30 mins ride. In Sri Lanka I haven't met one person who wouldn't smile back at me, truly beautiful people. And if you like surfing, this is the place! I'll be definitely back very soon. Thank you Linda, Upul and Jagarth

“The attentiveness of the staff, Peace and Tranquility !!” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blanca cottage. The unobtrusiveness of the staff was a key factor. They were there if you needed them but did not encroach on your space. There are comfortable sitting areas surrounded by unusual antiques and delightful art works which have been collected by Blanca cottage. His attention to detail is superb.And of-course This is a beautiful cottage with lovely little garden. The setting is stunning and the beach is lovely. We cant wait to return to Blanca cottage.

“Our magical stay at the Indian Ocean” This place was absolutely beautiful. We stayed here for over a week and we still regret we couldn't stay any longer. The beach villa is lovely decorated and feels like home. When you wake up you just have to walk out of the garden and you can have a nice refreshing swim in the sea without any other tourists. By moonlight you can have a shower in the bathroom that is located outside (there are also bathrooms inside btw). We remember relaxing in the garden under the swaying palmleaves whilst enjoying the view of the Indian Ocean. The food was fabolous which we got to enjoy several times. Wasante and Sarat (staff) were very friendly and hospitable. We would like to thank the owners, Nirmala and David for their great suggestions and warm hospitality. Hopefully we have the chance to come back to this beautiful place.

“Stunning, you are left wanting for nothing except more of the sa” A fabulous week, just what we needed. A great team looked after our every need. We especially enjoyed paddling down the lake for dinner, to be the only guests at the restaurant, and then paddling back. Stunning home away from home, allowing quality family time. “Fabulous” We were lucky and enjoyed this wonderful oasis of luxury and calm for 16 nights in February 14. The villa itself is well appointed and has everything you could possibly want or need but it is the garden, pool and service that makes this place so special. The views from the garden especially down by the pool and pavilion are fantastic with rice paddy, buffalo, egrets and a myriad of other tropical birds. You feel a million miles away from everything as you are surrounded by swaying palm trees and other tropical plants and flowers. We enjoyed the charming 10 minute walk to the enormous, clean beach that is also fringed by Palm trees and little restaurants, and if you want a bit more nightlife Hikkaduwa is only a short Tuk Tuk ride away. The best food we ate was prepared by Roshan and the team who are always on hand to cook or assist you in any way, even stocking the fridge up with your favourite drinks and preparing the most delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts. We had a couple of barbecues down by the pool which were lovely and very good value. The staff make your stay comfortable without being intrusive and are happy to arrange motorbike hire, meals, Tuk Tuk rides and excursions which takes any stress out of arranging things, they are a really nice, friendly group of young men, who you feel completely safe and comfortable with. We have visited Sri Lanka on numerous occasions and this is definitely our favourite place to stay to date. Tam is so easy to deal with too when booking, which also makes life much easier.

“A dream at the ocean” Arriving at the Villa (southpointvilla.com) the staff will greet you with a refreshing cloth and a delicous icecold drink. After passing the pool and a beautiful covered resting area you use a lightly curved bridge over a coy pond to enter the Villa. This Villa is located within a big garden, adjacent to a swimming pool, a grassy area, flowers and literally steps away from a beautiful, clean and quiet sandy beach for swimming and walking. Opposite the Villa, a coral reef invites you to snorkel and observe colorful fish. Lounge chairs and fresh towls are always provided. 3 bedrooms (TV, fans, AC) four-poster-beds, mosquito-nets, antique furniture, modern bathrooms - beautiful sink areas - always hot water - , fresh towls, shampoo and bathgels. One has a pool-garden-view, two have a garden/ocean-view and access to the deck. Inside and outside covered sitting-areas - including dining - w/ garden-ocean view. Staff is magnificent: they can arrange for everything (rental car, bicycles, boats, fishing, tours etc.) Laundry can be taken care of. Chef and his crew outstanding: the whole time such delicacies were created, that we never even got the idea of going out to eat somewhere else. Excursions: two National Parks "Uda Walawe" and "Yala" are not too far, teaplantations, Galle with its beautiful Fort and shopping in the city, a lake, other beaches and bays are nearby --- no nightlife.

“Amazing vacation” Visiting Sri Lanka you must pay a visit to Galle and stay at Templeberg Villa. We loved it! The villa is a perfect home stay and resort near the beaches if Thalpe and Unawatuna. We stayed for 10 days in the cute little holiday bungalow come Writers Cottage. The bungalow had two well appointed bedrooms with a private bathroom. There was plenty of sitting space and a large verandah with welcoming garden and jungle views. There are majestic landscape vistas. Each day we had a beautiful Sri Lankan breakfast of egg and string hoppers as well as western fare. The staff are very knowledgeable of the local area and were happy to provide Sri Lanka info to us so we could make the most of sightseeing. Templeberg Villa makes for the perfect Sri Lankan home. Can't wait to visit this Sri Lanka hotel again.
