“Great Vacation at Villa Ka Kuxta” Villa Ka Kukta was a little paradise for all my family 5 adults and 7 children.We all had a wonderful time. Akumal is a wonderful place to stay, the villa is in a secluded location and we really appreciated that. Akumal Playa and Village are very nice, we enjoyed the restaurants and the boutiques there. It is easy to visit some of the Maya sites: we went to Tulum, Koba and Chichen Itza. We enjoyed Christmas Mass in Chemuyil, people there were very friendly, in fact all mexicans are really very nice. The management and staff at the villa were perfect, they cooked nice dinners for us and did everything they could to make our stay pleasurable. We were sad to leave and sorry we could not stay longer (the trip from France is quite long and tiresome, but my son and son-in-law had to go back to work, a week is too short...) All of us will keep wonderful memories of this awsome place and we wish you a great 2103.

“We had a wonderful time in Mexico and villa areccife played a bi” We stayed at the villa areccife for a week in November of 2012. I am not a resort fan therefore we've rented a lot of houses in different places. And this is one of the best. It is a new, modern, well-appointed, well-equipped house. It had everything we needed. It is located in the residential part of the resort. When we stayed there only a few houses were built making the villa private and quite place. The villa staff is very nice and helpful. On our arrival despite the late hours (around 8PM) we were greeted by alex Estrella a villa manager, who also works at the resort. When we arrived at the Cancun airport late afternoon even though I reserved a car at Herz, thinking it is a respectable car rental company, there were no cars available. We had to take a taxi to the villa. Next morning alex drove my husband to a car rental place. Whenever we had problems with the villa alex was always available to deal with them. The housekeeper Diana was at the villa every day (even on Sunday) making it sparkling clean. We had a wonderful time in Mexico and villa areccife played a big role in it.

“Wonderful place” We where two families of 13 had an opportunity to stay in this house for a week and we didn't want to leave. Myrna & Eric was very prompt to answer all the questions (1st time renter) and kindly work with us throughout the whole process. When we arrived, the house keeper was there to greet us with her smile and Alex the local manager to explain how everything was working. The house was everything that Myrna told us: a very big, clean, well kept, organized house. Everything we need was there so that we could have a very comfortable vacation. We felt very at home. The house is very private in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. The backyard, full of plants and trees to please our eyes. The pool were very well kept and inviting so our kids jumped right after we got situated. It took us 10 minutes to walk to the beach or 5 avenue. Both beach and 5 avenue was amazing. We highly recommend this house to all our friends and other families. Since we only had a week vacation this time, we plan to come back here when we visit Playa Del Carmen again. Hopefully, the house will be available for us again. Thank you to all. You made our vacation so wonderful.

“Perfect” Perfect vacation for our group of 10 adults. Never once did we feel crowded. The home is large enough that we could have easily accommodated 4 more persons. “Better than we could have imagined” We just got back from a weeks stay at the lovely Casa Caribena. My husband and I booked the house for 1 week with 10 other people. All adults, a mix of couples and singles. I really cant say enough good things about the staff of Casa Caribena and the house itself. The location is beautiful, the views from every balcony in the house, the food!! Believe the hype, it was fantastic. The staff are all so sweet and helpful. The house was always clean, very spacious. You will have trouble deciding where to hang out, as there are so many wonderful spots around the house. The roof top was a favorite of mine. I did yoga up there every morning and it was a quiet heaven. The beach is a bit rocky as others have indicated, but it was beautiful and clean nevertheless (not a negative at all). The sand is soft and nice, but just when you get out to the water it's a bit rocky. Many days we took the kayaks out and snorkeled from there. We saw tons of wildlife right from the beach. The Tulum Ruins and shops are a quick cab ride away. I felt completely safe the entire time. I would go back in a heartbeat! I will say, the electricity in our room went out in the middle of the night one night. I told Lily, and received a call from Lisa (the homeowner) within an hour, saying they were working on it and she was so sorry. It didn't cause us any problems at all and it I was actually nice to be able to see how accommodating and quick they were to fix a "problem" if you even want to call it that :) There's also a nice restaurant and Cenote a few houses down that you can walk to. Blue Sky (the restaurant) had great food, drinks and staff. Casa Caribena is truly such a gem! Heaven on earth!

“Little slice of paradise” Incredible food. Perfect beach. Professional, talented staff. Great house -- comfortable, classy and laid back, all at the same time. Me and a few friends rented the villa for four days in February, and we had not a single complaint. If you are looking for a low key beach vacation, away from crowds and hubbub, this is a wonderful spot to consider. I can't think of a single complaint. “utter relaxation” My family of 5 (3 sons aged 9, 13, 15) spent a week at Casa Dena over Easter. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. The caretakers are lovely and fabulous cooks. Steve's flexibility to rent us only 2 bedrooms was really appreciated. The views are fantastic from the back of the house as well as the roof. We were aware that the beach directly in front of the house was not swimmable, so the boys climbed the rocks looking for sea life and iguanas when we were at home, and they swam at other points down the beach. Very secluded and private home which is what we like. Could do with a couple more comfy lounge chairs and/or pillows for outside, but all in all exactly what we needed.

“Gorgeous place and views, outstanding service” We spent a week at the villa with family to celebrate our wedding on the beach. The views are just gorgeous, it rained quite a lot, but It made it our stay and wedding ceremony even more memorable. Great backgrounds for the pictures. The villa is kind of isolated from the crowds but very close to the beach and the hotel, so we could go to a few hotel evening performances and enjoy the sand beach. The fact that the villa is not on the beach did not bother us at all, on the contrary, we loved it, very dramatic and more natural views. The owners are great hosts and keep villa and amenities in very good shape. The cleaning service was excellent. Mexican cooks were great not only as cooks but also very nice people with very welcoming and kind personalities. It was a good idea to have cooking services, very reasonably priced and delicious. Overall, the experience met and exceeded our expectations. We definitely recommend Brisa Caribe for all the reasons stated above and for Doug and Shelly being very helpful in organizing this trip (cooking services, taxi, etc.). We would also recommend this place for a small intimate wedding ceremony, our wedding was more beautiful than we expected and Doug recommended us a good wedding planner who made it even more perfect! “Outstanding..” Contrasting with its pristine modernist neighbour Casa Sisal, the Hacienda is offset fabulously. The play of modern touches through the shabby chic Hacienda look creates a scene plucked straight from a film set. The cavernous rooms and vaulted ceilings interspersed with giant sized furniture causes a virtual loss of scale rarely found in homes these days. Quirky touches such as a sunken sitting area in the master suite underline further the sheer grandness of the space. The interlinking communal area or loggia as it is known again displays large arches and high ceilings to great effect. A very majestic and magical space in which to dine or socialise. Don't be mistaken though that this is some generic homogenised 'boutique hotel' as seems to be the big buzz word currently. Very much a unique 'home' that neither intimidates nor disappoints. Quality as expected minus the bland. The hosts/owners who can be found close to hand when required are truly gracious, honest and enthusiastic people. Qualities rarely found these days. Location wise ideal for the city of Merida and numerous sites all within day trip distance. Beautiful peaceful location around the Hacienda with lush tropical gardens and tropical birds a plenty. A certain 'type' of traveller may not like this space but that's who 5 star chain hotels were built for and is all the more reason we loved it.

“Paradise!” Our two families stayed at Casa San Francisco for one week (4 adults and kids 19, 16, 14, 12 and 12). The house was perfect for our vacation! There was enough room for everyone in this beautiful house and being right on the beach was heaven. Everyone in the group swam in the pool and ocean, and many went kayaking and snorkeling in our 'back yard.' Beach towels are included at the house, as well as toiletries like you would get in a hotel. Although many places to see where close-by, some of the best time that we spent was just hanging around the villa, reading in the hammock, relaxing on the beach or swimming. The location of the house is great to get to many attractions, most only 1/2 hour or so away. Some of the activities we did (other than relaxing at the villa) were snorkeling at Yal-ku lagoon, visitng ruins at Tulum and Coba, shopping in akumal, Tulum and Playa del Carmen, visiting Hidden Worlds and Xcaret parks, and visiting other beaches (Akumal, Tulum, others). Guille (the staff manager) was very attentive and helpful with suggestions on places to go or things to do. Some in our group were worried about security given the news from other (far-away) parts of Mexico, but we felt very safe at the villa with the security provided. Marcia from akumal Direct Reservations was extremely helpful in pre-trip advice and answering our many questions about the place. It's always a little nerve-wracking preparing to go somewhere you have never visited, but she helped put us at ease. One thing we did not do but I wished we had done was to have dinner cooked for us one night as this was a highlight for others who had stayed at the house (as written in the guestbook). I highly recommend Villa San Francisco for a family or large group vacation.
