“Homey, Cozy, and CLEAN!” This house was one of my all time favorite houses! We were so comfortable and cozy in this house. We made ourselves right at home (which isn't easy for me to do!). Unfortunately, we didn't have the best weather (rain!), but were able to go sledding one day and utilized the stables twice (Shannon was wonderful there! This was a fantastic added bonus for my 7 year old who rides!) I'd love to visit this home in the fall. The fire pit in the yard looked fantastic (it was snow and ice covered for us), and we would love to take advantage of the trail rides at the stables. The owner was extremely attentive...I asked a lot of questions and she never made me feel like it was a problem...and was very quick to respond! We will definitely be back! “This house is very comfortable.” My husband and friends are hiking the Appalachian Trail and were in the area so we stayed here for a week and visited them . The house was so comfortable and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for everybody. The owner was very nice and friendly. The kitchen had lots of pot pans, dishes and cooking utensils. My granddaughter and I loved seating on the deck and watching the wild life. The community is beautiful and very safe and secure and had great amenities. We are planning to return next year.

“Perfect house for reunions and private getaways” The house is absolutely beautiful! We had 11 people fit comfortably with ample room for meals and activities. The neighborhood is spaced out nicely - you truly feel like you have privacy on the back deck. The fire pit is a MUST for anyone visiting. The Top of the World bar/pool is only about a 10 minute walk away, so you can also get out and about if you're looking for a change of scenery. I would recommend to this space to anyone!

About Bushkill
Bushkill Falls was purchased by Charles E. Peters and opened to the public in 1904 – in fact, it’s still owned by the family today. With a series of 8 waterfalls set high in the Pocono Mountains, the falls are home to plants, flowers, trees and a variety of birds and other wildlife including bobcats, raccoons, black bears and coyotes. The spectacular Main Falls cascades from over 100 feet!
Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to keep them happy here, and there are family-friendly activities at the falls and in the surrounding area, no matter what your interests.
Chow down on some authentic Pennsylvanian food while you’re here – the local cuisine has Dutch and German influences. Try Whoopie Pies, Red Beet Pickled Eggs, Philly Cheesesteak and some of the best Chicken Pot Pie around. The pretzels are worth mentioning, too.
What to do
Explore the beauty of the Pocono Mountains with a day out at the falls. It’s an easy, short (15-minute) hike to reach the viewing platform for the Main Falls, and there are three other hiking trails to explore, suitable for varying abilities and levels of fitness. For families, the Green and Yellow Trails are the best. Play a round of mini golf at the 18-hole course, feed the ducks, take a paddle boat ride or take the kids to Nature Nook’s Mining for Gemstones exhibit, where they can pretend to pan for gold!
There are several exhibits to explore, too, from the Pennsylvania Wildlife Exhibit to the life-size longhouse at the Native American Exhibit.
Aside from the falls, you could head for East Stroudsburg for activities like zip lining and year-round snow tubing, or explore Pocono Snake and Animal Farm.

The nearest airports are Lehigh Valley International Airport (51 miles) and Morristown Municipal Airport (64 miles).
Spring and fall in Bushkill can be rainy, making trails at the falls muddy – and it can be chilly too, so pack extra layers. Summer temperatures reach around 83 degrees Fahrenheit, while in winter there’s plenty of snow and average temperatures of around 19 degrees fahrenheit.
Bringing food or drink to Bushkill Falls is not permitted (except for water), but there’s a snack bar and ice cream store on-site, as well as plenty of picnic spots.
