“A Cozy Retreat” Fivespot is everything a little cabin should be--cozy, functional, beautiful and tucked away. Mahalia was very easy to work with and included so many thoughtful details--candied ginger in the cabinet to ward off carsickness on the windy roads and a fireplace with logs ready to go, just to name a couple. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quite mountain retreat.

“Great Place” This is a great place. Ton's of space. Super Clean. The complex is quiet at night. The pool is heated so you can swim at night. Which the kids loved. Super Friendly service. .We will definitely stay here again.

“Awesome Location” The place is well kept and has great furnishings. I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking to explore the Truckee/Tahoe area while escaping some of the traffic. While my visit took place over the summer, the location makes for a perfect ski trip. I imagine you could ski/board to the lifts on any given day. The price is also very affordable. I have stayed at several places around the lake, and would definitely stay there again soon.

“A wonderful time with all if iur siblings in a beautiful setting” Our family was looking for a get-away for a long weekend, to spend together and enjoy each others company. We've list a brother and sister and wanted to just celebrate our family. The Roost was a perfect setting for that. We walked, played games around the dining room table, cookedesla together and listened to music all weekend. It was our "Big Chill" weekend. It was just what we had hoped for. Lots of room for all. Very comfortable furnishings all around. Beautifully decorated.

“Good Stuff!” This place was perfect for us. ~2 adults and 3 kids in the master (2 kids in the closet Queen bed, and the baby in a pack n play & still tons of room) ~2 adults in the 2nd bedroom down stairs with their 2 kids in the closet Queen bed. ~3rd adult in the Queen in the loft ~4th adult babysitter in the bed in the loft next to the bunk beds, We had tons of room. It was nice. Enjoyed eating at the long table, and partying at the large island. Did a night at the pool with the kids and relaxed at the Hot Tub. It was nice as they had all the pots, pans, and utensils we needed, and even had spices, salt and pepper, so we didn't have to buy it to use it once. My only suggestion would be to possibly place a humidifier in each room, so we would have the option of running some moisture in the room. The air is so dry, and after being wind chapped on the mountain, we ran the heater a lot, so it made it even worse. We walked to the Village and had dinner and drinks multiple time a day. Its literly that close. Maybe 80 steps... Amazing. We actually ended up calling them and staying a 3rd night, and they give a discount if you extend your stay. I would deff stay there again, and next trip up there, we will hopefully be able to stay there again!!!

“Wonderful Family Home” Our family had a wonderful time in your beautiful home - everything we needed was there - nothing was lacking. There was plenty of room and sleeping arrangements for everyone! We were able to drive to the snow to go sledding for the day and then come right back and play board games the whole night. What a wonderful way to re-connect as a family! “Amazing Horse Property 10 Min from Beach” I traveled to the Ranch by The Sea with my family. We had a large group with age range from age 5 to 75 years of age. This is the perfect destination for any age. Bob the owner was a terrific host. He showed us everything we needed to know about how to use everything on the property. He also gave us suggestions of restaurants, bars, and best places to go to the beach which was very helpful since we were not familiar with the area. Anything we needed we just had to text or call him and he was available. There is plenty to do on the property no matter what age you are. There are many private rooms with tvs if you are just looking to relax and have some quite time. There are also many common areas to have fun with others to play pool, arcade games, ping pong etc and not disturb anyone else. There is a large patio with a fantastic view overlooking the pool and San Diego. Every evening around sunset you would see hot air balloons in the sky that would take off around Del Mar Race Track. There are also great sunsets to the west that fill the sky with vibrant orange and pink colors that everyone loved! Both the kids and adults loved the pool and hot tub. There is a shallow end and a diving board so a little bit for everyone. There is plenty of seating by the pool to watch the kids or just lounge and kick back and sun tan. If you are a horse lover this property is a must. There are horses on property with a large riding arena. The owner gave both kids and adults very fun and informative riding lessons. He is very knowledgeable about horses and riding. He is fun but informative and safe all at the same time. So whether you are an experienced rider or first timer everyone can have a great time. The house is very large with many different bedrooms. It is great because you can have a large group but everyone can have piece and quite and their own space which we all thought was great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the San Diego area. We definitely didn't want to leave and will be coming back soon to do it again.

“Breezy” We had a blast here , everything was organized and well thought out . Everything was labeled with pictures . We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family . We normally come with a bigger group and stay at snowflower #24 but if you have a smaller group this is the one to rent you won’t be disappointed trust me Don’t forget the views !

“That is Very clean and cozy place, we in love with this cabin!!” Our family love the cabin from the minute we walk into it, we were immediately submerged into the warmth and calmness of the place. The spacious floor plan, clean and inviting living room equipped with flat screen TV/DVD unit, fully stocked kitchen and bathroom all adds up into a wonderful experienced that we had at the cabin. Kristina was very responsive and helpful throughout our needs. The backyard was a bonus specially when you have toddlers who wants to run around in the snow and feel safe about it. As a parent, it feels good knowing that there is a hospital nearby (about 5 minutes away). Grocery store and restaurants are just minutes away from the cabin. I highly recommend the place and I would definitely go back again in a heartbeat.

“It's a very cozy and nice place. Owner is very responsible and r” My friends and I stayed at Kristina's place for a nice summer weekend getaway! The cabin was very clean and perfect for the five of us! Bedrooms provide privacy and the yard outside is very nice for hanging out! We rode bikes, played frisbee and enjoyed the picnic table while grilling. Kristina even has an extensive DVD collection to watch. Bathroom was remodeled and very nice. This cabin is a great place for friends and family to gather while in Big Bear! The lake is a very simple bike ride away. The house was close enough to town and easy to get to. We would definately come back again :)

“Steve's place was very, very welcoming” Steve's place was perfect. Not only was it clean and comfortable, it was very, very welcoming. Steve left a lot of guides and tips that made it easy for us to plan out our days at Mammoth Lakes and find good restaurants at night. The hot tub and pool were also great after a day of long hikes! It was also our first time at Mammoth Lakes and booking online, and Steve was very patient and kind to us during the process. I definitely would recommend his place, and Mammoth Lakes, to anyone interested.

“Perfect place to rest after snowboarding” Came here with my family and friends from Friday to Sunday morning. It was really close by to the rental place, gas station, grocery store, restaurants, and bars. When you walk in, the first room you see is the family room with a pool table and huge TV. Upstairs are the two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, dining room, and kitchen. Then the third floor has two bedrooms and one bath. Every room was cute and cozy, each with a king bed. We all came back from the snow at night and the only downside to the cabin was that after three people showered, the hot water was gone for the rest of us. =( We played pool and waited for an hour or so for the hot water to come back, but it was still cold. Overall, I'd come back cos it was a cozy spot and fun to spend time with family and friends in. It was super fun!

“Not RIGHT on the lake as photos suggest but cozy and spacious cabin with hot tub and close proximity to Big Bear village” This cabin was very comfortable and cozy and really embodied the "cabin feel." The living room was very spacious and had a large TV that provided access to Netflix and other programs (a big plus). The kitchen was very well stocked with a wide array of kitchenware and grilling tools, which really came in handy for the grill right outside. We especially enjoyed the hot tub (spent many hours here), as we stayed in Big Bear in March and it was quite chilly out. The only problem we had with the house was the fact that the pictures were deceptive in making it appear that the cabin was right on the lake, which was not the case. There was a whole house right in front of us and blocked much of our view of the lake, as well as a long fence that made it impossible for us to even access the lake from our area (we had to walk a few hundred feet down the street to the marina to get to the water). Otherwise, the house was incredibly cozy and accommodating and made for a relaxing three-night stay up in the mountains for our Spring Break.

“Amazing!!” Great place! The board games had us entertained all night! And the Disney movie selections were amazing for movie night. The house was very spacious. And the owner was quick to reply with any questions regarding our stay. Will want to go back maybe in the spring next time.
