“Love the cottage. Love the location. Love the hosts. What a wond” Many, many thanks for providing such a gorgeous "home away from home". The cottage is magnificent, so beautifully crafted, and you have thought of every last detail. Not only is the cottage as fine as it appears on the web,but far nicer! Spotless, well decorated, tranquil, and lovely! From the moment we arrived we felt like we were home. Every little detail is taken care of. It is obvious that both of you are skilled artists. Please know that we continually appreciated your creations all week. The walk through the redwoods to the waterfall was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing this magical cottage with us, and thanks for your generous hospitality. We'll be back!

“Wonderful experience” Although our hosts were not present on the property--they live in the main house nearby--this cabin was perfect for a getaway near the Mendocino Coast. There are beautiful gardens, less fog than on the coast, and total tranquility. It is and a well-appointed rental with living room, bedroom, and kitchenette. We highly recommend it.

Artists' Retreat Overlooking Pacific
The views are beautiful...

We stayed at the artist Retreat for a three day weekend in april to celebrate my wife's birthday. The artist House has a warm, welcoming feel. It is comfortable and inviting with open wood beam ceilings and decorated with original artwork throughout. The views are beautiful, especially the eight miles of sandy beach from Irish Beach to the Point arena Light House to the South. Deer and hummingbirds were frequent guests and can be seen in the front and side yards, we even saw a bunny. The sunken living room adds charm and depth. It is a great place to relax, look out over the ocean and enjoy the fireplace. A pair of oversized swivel chairs and a round table call to you from the corner window to sit and overlook the beach. There is a pair of binoculars on the bookcase if you want to look for migrating whales. The dining room table is ready for six place settings with a candle chandelier. This window has an observation area complete with an astromaster telescope powerful enough to see the moon in detail. We enjoyed cooking together and the kitchen has plenty of counter space, appliances and utensils for us to use. The deck had two chairs, a table, flower boxes and awesome views, it was a perfect place for a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The Master is roomy and has a comfortable bed with views of the ocean from the sliding glass doors that open out to the deck. The huge bathroom has a large two person tiled shower with dual shower heads. Karla is responsive, easy to communicate with and it was a pleasure to book with her. We love her house by the sea and look forward to staying there again. The S & B Market about four miles south in Manchester has everything. The drive along the Sonoma, Mendocino coast is amazingly beautiful. Be sure to visit the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. … see more

What a wonderful retreat and so close to nature's beauty and cha

Sitting in the sun after a big storm brings peace and tranquility - especially so as the cottage is surrounded by big trees, lovely pots of flowers and hand crafted ceramic art. Inside there is a warm feeling generated by warm cabinetry, special travel pictures, and lovely linens. The owner is close by and stopped by with a warm greeting and suggestions of special vistas to explore.
