“Roomy, bright and cozy cabin in a beautiful setting - perfect ge” We had a really fun and relaxing few days at this cabin - it's minutes away from cute shops and great restaurants. Inside it has cozy furnishings, a washer/dryer and everything you could need in the kitchen. We kept a big fire going most of the time - especially when watching movies on the big screen tv! Outside, there's a big back deck, perfect for outdoor activities and barbeques. The yard right behind the deck is a great sledding hill and an there's a small alpine slide close by, not to mention the Bear Mountain slopes! Would recommend it for families, or for a quiet relaxing getaway.

“Sweet mountain cabin in a nice quiet location.” We rented this home for one of our summer get aways with our blended crew/family. Everyone had a fantastic experience. Its location is just outside of town in a very nice and peaceful area called Glenshire. The owner is very nice and accommodating. I would recommend this home and would rent it again- maybe when we go up to board and ski in winter.

“Our stay here was wonderful!” Our stay here was wonderful! The cabin is perfectly located, walking distance from the lake. The kitchen is well stocked and the cabin feels very cozy. The owners kept in touch throughout, even responded to our silly questions within minutes! The only down-side was that the second bathroom was difficult to get to, since in order to get to the basement you have to go outside (not something you want to do on a winter evening), and one of the bedrooms only had access through another bedroom (compromising privacy). There was more than ample space (huge living room) and plenty of bedrooms. We will definitely be coming back!

“Charming, Cozy, Romantic Getaway!” My husband and I loved our stay in Idyllwild. Boulder Creek Cottage was cozy and beautifully decorated. The home was very clean and was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. They even provided coffee, which we forgot to bring with us. The location was beautiful and private yet only 2 minutes to town. The large deck was perfect for relaxing; Bbq's and star gazing at night. I can tell that the owner, Larry really takes great pride in this beautiful cottage. He was also very wonderful to work with and answered all of my questions promptly. “Amazing! Didn't want to leave!” This cabin is everything we wanted and more! Great location (just a few minute drive to snowboarding/dining) and none of that cheesy typical cabin feel with plaid and bears everywhere. It was decorated nicely and felt very homey. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs with a jack-and-jill bathroom. There was a kitchen, living room and another full bath upstairs. The living room was a great place to relax after a long day of boarding and we enjoyed the convenience of the kitchen (stocked with plates, utensils, mugs, paper towels). I highly recommend! OH, also, the owner was great! I booked last minute (Friday night) and Jeff responded right away and I got it booked for that weekend. I really appreciate the responsiveness and would love to stay here again if I'm in the area.

“Great cabin” I have stayed at East of Paradise with my family for the past three years and we absolutely love it. It's become our home away from home. The cabin is not big, but it is very well maintained and the set up is perfect for small families like mine. We used to stay at hotels before but nothing compares to keeping everyone all under the same roof and be able to cook homemade meals. My daughter loves to play in the backyard, particularly in the play house. My husband and I love relaxing in the hot tub out back. The beds here are both queen. I have back problems but I always sleep confortably in both of these beds. I do wish the homeowner would offer inflatable beds, or sofa beds for the little ones. The kitchen has all the utensils we need to cook meals. My husband and I love cooking and we always take the opportunity here to make a delicious meal whenever we go. We have everything we need there. The cabin is far away enough from the downtown area and all the traffic, but close enough to get to the stores, and the playgrounds within a few minutes. We highly recommend this cabin.

“Great time in Westwood” We had a wonderful time away, in this area. The home has the warm, nostalgic feel of home: modest and welcoming. Fishing 10 min away under a footbridge, or drive 20 min to the Feather River, where we pulled in gorgeous trout. The very best pizza ever is walking distance from the house, as is ice cream favorites in nearby Chester. Loved our time there & look forward to returning!

“Great place to escape the city for a few days” Having grown up in the country it's nice to know that a place like the Idyllcreek cabin is just a couple hours away from my now home, Los angeles. Though not completely separated from civilization, the cabin offers a great place to disappear from life for a few days with friends and loved ones. Plenty of fire wood, up to date amenities, and a secluded but safe atmosphere made my stay perfect and one that I would like to repeat.

“It's a very cozy and nice place. Owner is very responsible and r” My friends and I stayed at Kristina's place for a nice summer weekend getaway! The cabin was very clean and perfect for the five of us! Bedrooms provide privacy and the yard outside is very nice for hanging out! We rode bikes, played frisbee and enjoyed the picnic table while grilling. Kristina even has an extensive DVD collection to watch. Bathroom was remodeled and very nice. This cabin is a great place for friends and family to gather while in Big Bear! The lake is a very simple bike ride away. The house was close enough to town and easy to get to. We would definately come back again :)

“Awesome house” We enjoyed the views in the evening. GREAT location centrally located to visit Yosemite, Kings Canyon, or Sequoia National Park. Good roads with scenic views. Liza responds to any questions quickly and the Caretaker Steve is a new west coast brother. He even called me a few days in advance to let me know the house would be available if I wanted to check in earlier in the day so we could have extra time to sightsee and he told me what roads to travel for the best views on the way in. it's not often you get a call offering to let you check in early. In a word awesome place!!!

“Awesome!” What an absolute positive surprise! We visited with 4 adults and 2 young children..everybody had a great time..the playhouse and play loft is great for the kids..the views from the deck accompanied by the birds is grand..the kitchen is great and so well stocked..all kinds of herbs, oils etc..never seen anything like that before in a rental..the whole house is stocked like that! Just wow! We were also impressed with the local supermarket carrying superb meat and other fresh produce..anyway a really awesome rental in Idyllwild we hope to return to many more times
