Description
It is a large well proportioned holiday home. Downstairs are two large lounges, one with Sony tv and DVD (satelite chanels available) and the other arranged around a fireplace and the beautiful sea views. There is also a kitchen with breakfast bar, a full dining room and office space. Four of the bedrooms are upstairs. The master is an enormous en-suite and would easily suit a family with young children using the travel cot provided. All the balconies boast impressive sea views and on of the bathrooms has sea and Table mountain views simultaneously! The fifth bedroom is located downstairs but has its own en-suite shower room. Outside, large terraces make for wonderful sunset evenings while the lower grass area leads down to the pool. There is an automatic double garage and the whole property is protected by ADT security.

The 10 metre pool provides an excellent place to cool off in the summer sun while the patio areas provide plenty of space for children to play outside. All the balconies have exceptional sea views and can view the most amazingly colourful sunsets.

“wonderful & spacious family destination”
We spent two weeks in early March at the "Ocean Sweep" for a fantastic holiday in Camps Bay/Cape Town. As other reviewers have noted, the house is extremely large and very comfortable for groups and families -- we were 5 adults and 2 children and significantly appreciated the size of all bedrooms, bathrooms and living space. There are wood floors throughout the main floor which were great for the kids to play. We loved the outdoor patio with BBQ and pool for cooking, enjoying wine and watching the spectacular sunsets. The owner, Patrick, is extremely friendly and communicative - he even organised cleaning for the week, which was a wonderful additional luxury. He and his family also use the house so he makes every effort to keep it in good working order (with the help of a local property mgmt company). The house has a large two car garage and we believe a car is definitely needed for the stay, both to explore the city and to take runs for groceries, etc. Yes, the walk to/from the beach is quite strenuous but it required exercise for all the eating we seemed to do! All in all a great holiday in a stunning city from a very functional home.

“Fabulous house in a stunning location!”
We stayed here for 10 days with friends (2 families with young children) over half term and had a brilliant holiday. The house is spacious both inside and out (great terrace and pool area), with a practical open plan layout downstairs which was perfect for all the kids. It is furnished comfortably and contemporarily and is brilliantly kitted out. The backdrop of Table Mountain combined with the stunning seaviews and sunsets made this the ideal location from which to explore Cape Town and surrounding areas. We visited many local attractions (Boulders Bay/penguin colony, V&A Waterfront, Stellenbosch, Constantia, local beaches, Table Mountain via cable car) and this was the perfect place to come back to and finish off the day with afternoons by the pool and BBQs in the evening.

“Camps Bay Good Times”
Searching for holiday accommodation online, on behalf of a larger group is easy in principle, you look through many pictures and choose the right house according to location, looks and budget. However, when getting close to your place of choice your mind can play tricks on as if you made right choice for the group, where the pictures to flattering, is it going to be big enough and so on When we arrived at Oceans Sweep on the 26th Feb 2012, all those fears were put to rest instantly. It started with the perfect drive into Camps Bay, followed by the arriving at the perfect holiday house we could have hoped for. Oceans Sweep is big, very big. The overall feel is one of relaxed luxury, the rooms were amazing with views of the ocean from all but without doubt the most amazing aspect of the house is having a Braai/ BBQ on the deck, after a swim watching the sun go down with family and friends. My only criticism and I have to stretch this a bit, is that the brief walk down to the main Camps bay stretch (5minutes), is a bit steep on the walk home after one or two cocktails I recommend this place highly and hope to return soon
