“Absolutely disgusting”

Myself and 4 family members have just returned from staying at this awful villa. We arrived in the early hours of the morning after a long flight so our first impression once we managed to gain access to the villa was not great so we decided to get some sleep and assess the condition once we were rested. I must say this did not make any difference the villa was filthy dirty it had not had a good clean in God knows how long, the kitchen cupboards were caked in grease and we're all yellow, there had been a tea towel left for our use which stood up by itself and looked as if it had not ever been washed. There was an old fridge in the kitchen which was covered in burn marks, the inside was disgusting as it had been switched off and obviously was not working so why leave it there. There were three bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms which were all filthy dirty, there was at least 1/2 inch of dirt on the doors where they had not been cleaned, the sinks and toilets were also not clean. The pillows which were on the beds were that badly stained they could not be used. On our first day we bought bleach and scourers so everything could be cleaned. The bannister at the top of the stairs is loose and if anyone was to lean on it the whole thing would fall to the ground. In the living room there us a cabinet which has broken glass in one of the panels which has just been left, this would be very dangerous if children were staying there and touched it. The floors were not clean as when we walked round in bare feet they were black, also when we arrived there was coffee stains up the stairs which was still there when we left a week later. The pool was not clean and children staying at the hotel part of the complex would walk past and spit in it so this was not used by us. The complex Is very noisy. I did contact the owner about these problems and asked if you would come to the house to discuss these issues but he totally ignored my email. Although a cleaner came in each day he never done very much as was only there for less than an hour. I would say that the photos that have been posted on the website are not a true representation of the villa and must have been taken when the house was first rented. There has not been any care in the up keep of this property and as a holiday home owner myself I am very surprised that properties in this condition are allowed to be advertised. I have stayed in Goa for over 20 years and I don't expect the Ritzy but I do expect things to be clean and kept OK. I most definitely would not rent this villa again or recommend it.
