Description from owner
Description
"Little Impetts" is a 17th Century Thatched Cottage. Little Impetts is very popular for short breaks and longer family holidays. We Also offer self check in which can be accessed once booking is completed. Little Impetts is a later addition to "Impetts" It is a beautiful thatched country cottage set in the East Kent countryside being a short trip away from golden Sandy coastal beaches. Impetts was also filmed in 2006 for Relocation Relocation, with Phil and Kirsty, a copy of the programme is on DVD and kept in Little Impetts DVD library for you to view on the 32" Smart TV which is connected to wifi BT super fast broadband is also available so you can log on to your own favourite channels or keep in touch via video calls. The main bedroom also has a 19" TV for you to relax and view, Impetts and Little Impetts were originally two cottages converted to one in the late 20th century then later converted into a totally self contained holiday cottage with ample parking, large courtyard and BBQ area. Due to the age of the property the stairs leading to the main bedroom are steeper than in a modern house but have hand rails either side. We are within easy reach of many attractions and country walks straight from the front gate, we are very pet friendly. We are situated in a quiet lane which is a no through road leading to All Saints Church onto open fields which intercepts the well known saxon shore way walk, with walks along the River Stour too. The Parish starts at Plucks Gutter where the river stour is crossed and continues through the settlements of East & West Stourmouth.
The Parish boasts one of the oldest churches in Kent, that of All Saints. Although now used for a handful of services it is maintained by the Church Conservation Trust and is open most days for visits with guest book available for you to leave comments. We also have a Public house dating back to AD1372, the Rising Sun, which offers excellent food and good company, The Dog and Duck, and Half Moon and Seven Stars in Preston which hosts regular live music events when permitted all are within walking distance. There are many more good pubs and places to dine too. To help you find local walks and attractions Little Impetts has a weather proof detailed ordnance survey map of the area, which has proven to be very useful for our guests.
Little Impetts has its own guest comments book which has helpful information and positive comments to also help you enjoy your time here. January is usually the busiest month for bookings, so please do book early to avoid any disappointment, as the entire summer period can get fully booked by the end of February. But please do always check dates on the calendar. Any questions please contact us by phone or email and we will get straight back to you., you can also book online by clicking on book now! We have added a Weber Gas BBQ for you to enjoy the summer sunshine, BBQ packs can be purchased from the local Butcher Mark of Preston Family Butchers who takes pride in the use of locally farmed meat and game. Also wine, beers and spirits from preston Village Stores.
We are regularly told by guests "Little Impetts presents itself much better than the website shows" which is great to hear! we are very pro active with reviews and comments to insure that you have the most enjoyable and relaxing time during your visit.

Response from the owner Hi Janet. It was lovely to meet you and thank you for you’re review, unfortunately the stairs are steep with a hand rail either side and we do advertise as not suitable for people wth mobility problems, we can also appreciate that wearing glasses when walking up or down stairs in general can be difficult too. We appreciate your comments and will follow them up. Thanks again all the best Tim and Lisa.

We had a lovely stay at Little Impetts. The house is beautiful, real English style, and complete. With three young children its a really cosy :), but fine place to stay. In a beautiful and quiet area.

“Village charm and so peaceful!”
We loved the cottage because it had real charm and a fascinating history. The village was quiet but very interesting with a Saxon church to explore and good walks along the Saxon Shore walkway. Close to all the attractions of North Kent including roman forts, pretty harbours, Deal, Dover and Walmer Castles as well as easy access to everything in Canterbury by using the cheap (3 pound fifty pence all day parking and return bus rides for up to 6 people) Park and Ride in Sturry Rd. Also close to beaches-recommend the café at Reculver on the beach and a day out at Walmer Castle-terrific cafes at these. Loved our week at the cottage-very friendly hosts.

“Small but perfectly formed with lots of character.”
2nd time I’ve stayed in this cottage. It’s an ideal stop to explore the local area. Lots of walks available from the cottage. 40 mins from the Euro tunnel.
