Description

GaliaHomes invites you to stay in this family friendly complex situated within walking distance to carvoeiro center, the beaches and amenities. We rent 18 apartments in Vila Nova complex. Some apartments have two bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleep up to 4 people. Some first-floor apartments have a third en-suite bedroom and can sleep up to 6 people. The ground floor apartment has enclosed rear garden with BBQ and a front breakfast terrace. The first-floor apartment has a large breakfast terrace, some with beautiful sea views. Stairs lead from the terrace to the roof terrace with BBQ. Sun lounges, umbrellas are provided at the pool area. There is outside toilet by the pool. All apartments have free WI-FI. It can also be used by the pool or at the pool bar/restaurant free. There is a snooker table at the restaurant, computer with internet access at the reception (at extra cost), children playground with lawns. The prices are for a maximum of 4 people. A baby cot can be provided for free or a folded bed for a child at an extra charge. The first-floor and three bedroom apartments are rented at a higher price. “Could be better”

I’ll start with the positives. Great location and the complex was lovely. It was everything we wanted, quiet with and excellent restaurant and well kept pool area. You The negatives were we had zero support from the booking agent and Holiday lettings once we arrived in Portugal. Two days before we travelled I recieved an email saying that I would receive an email with detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment and an address. I didn’t get that email so once we arrived in Portugal we didnt know exactly where to go. I tried calling our booking agent but her phone was off. I tried emailing her and Holiday lettings but got no response. It was down to investigative work on our part to find the apartment so our holiday started on a very stressful note. The following day I did receive an email from our agent, she apologised she couldn’t answer her phone as she had been travelling, funnily enough so were we! The system is totally inadequate. If she was out of reach there should be a back up support system. If we hadn’t have hired our own car and had the ability to travel around I doubt we would have found the apartment on our first night. When we did eventually find the apartment it was very dated, tired and in need of renovation. It wouldn’t be unfair to describe the kitchen as scruffy. I’m not sure when the apartment was last deep cleaned, the ingrained grease, grubby floor and ants in the kitchen which greeted us suggest it is a while ago. This holiday could have been perfect if there would have been someone who responded to their telephone the day we arrived and if the apartment had been furnished to a higher standard.

Normally I do send the directions, maps, and the local phone numbers well in advance and I sent them to you (I have forwarded you a copy of my email when you raised the question earlier). Unfortunately, I couldn't receive your phone call. Maybe my email ended up in your junk and if you had checked with me at least a day in advance I could give you all the info you needed. Regarding the apartment, we had people staying in it but no one called it 'scruffy or grubby." We rent a few apartments in the complex and some of them newer than others (subject to early booking) but all of them are properly cleaned and maintained. I understand that the apartment wasn't up to your personal standard of cleanliness and I am sure if you did raise your concerns during your stay, it could give us an opportunity to make your stay more pleasurable. There were no complains or requests from you during your stay. Galia - the agent.

“Vila Nova”

Area was lovely as was the pool area and bar. Vila has everything you would need but could do with updating in some areas. Rustic but very tired, both bathrooms could do with a deep clean or full refresh. Small shop on the complex selling fresh bread and croissants every morning.

Normally we rent one available at a time of your booking request. Earlier you book, the better choice you will have. “Lovely family stay”

We visited Villa Nova in September with our 1year old, the facilities were perfect for us. Nice, clean and quiet, with a good pool and play park. Even a nice restaurant by the pool. Not a bad walk to the beach, fine with a buggy (about 15mins), plenty of restaurants to choose from and plenty to do locally. Very nice

“Conveniently located and very relaxing”

We stayed at Vila Nova for two weeks this July, it was our second visit. The ground floor apartment had two bedroom was very spacious and fully equipped for a self catering break if that is what you want to do. The pool area is kept tidy and there are plenty of sun beds available for use. The on site restaurant is absolutely fabulous with a great selection of dishes and many fresh fish special dishes. 4g Wifi worked well in the apartment for a reasonable cost. Overall a very enjoyable holiday once again.
