Description
Casa Ladeira is a spacious villa ideal for families or a group of friends, it is a very well presented three bedroomed air conditioned villa with a private swimming pool (this can be heated at extra cost on request - € 175 per week). Situated in a quiet residential area of Carvoeiro called Sesmarias. The villa sits in its own private garden and is less than 2 minutes drive to the Gramacho and Vale da Pinta golf courses. The villa has beautiful views towards the Monchique mountain range. The town is only a short drive away. However, there are restaurants, including one of the best in Carvoeiro , 'Bon Bon', supermarket and local bars just a short walk from the villa.
The villa has entrance gates, driveway and carport for easy parking at the front door. The villa is slightly elevated and sits on two levels, with the ground level consisting of an entrance hall, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, comfortable lounge with patio doors leading to the terrace and swimming pool area. Two of the three bedrooms are on the ground level, both have twin beds. The ground floor bathroom is located next to the bedrooms.
The upper level consists of the third bedroom with double bed and ensuite shower room. This bedroom also has patio doors leading to the upper terrace with scenic views across the Monchique mountains in the distance. Both bathrooms have just been refurbished to a very high standard including walk in shower cabins. Each of the bedrooms benefits from air conditioning.
The pool terrace is complete with patio furniture and BBQ.
The villa is centrally located within the Algarve offering easy access to everything you could want from the region. It is just a short drive away from the picturesque fishing villages and beach towns of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo with great bars, restaurants, beaches, shops and golf courses.
Within a few minutes drive there are many amenities including a waterpark, more restaurants, more beaches, hypermarkets and Porches the world-renowned pottery maker.
Sesmarias offers Portuguese, Italian and French cuisine within a 2 minute walk from the Villa.
Airport transfers can be arranged. Due to the location of the villa we would recommend hiring a car, for ease of getting about, but local taxis are widely available.
Our local villa manager will visit the day after your arrival to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday.
Prices are per week for a maximum of 6 persons, inclusive linen & towels (except beach/swimming towels - these should be supplied by the client).

“Homely villa in quiet area”
After all the hoops we had to jump through (during these days of covid) to be able to travel we were very happy to spend 11 gloriously hot days at Casa Ladeira. We'd travelled from Porto, through Coimbra to Lisbon for a week and finished off in Carvoeiro in Casa Ladeira. The villa was spotlessly clean when we arrived and we had maid service at least three times with clean towels in those 11 days. It is very well maintained inside with a lovely kitchen, good showers, comfortable beds and lounge furniture. The pool man came regularly and there was plenty of sun loungers and chairs outside for us to use. These could do with being updated as they have cracks and pieces missing off some of them and the umbrella was broken. The pool was a godsend in the heat and we spent many hours in there, again it was kept spotless but there are a few tiles missing which could do with being replaced. The villa is in a quiet residential area with a few restaurants nearby which are walkable of which Oregano we would rate as excellent. To be fair if you wanted to see more of the Algarve you would need a car but we just wanted to chill out so used taxis into Carvoeiro which were about €8 for the 4 of us. There were a few other things which would make casa Ladeira even better - a hair dryer in each bedroom would have been nice as there were three of us ladies and it would have been nice to have had a welcome pack even if it was just water and milk, as after travelling down on the train from Lisbon we were looking forward to tea and coffee. We were told we should have requested a pack but I didnt see anywhere we could have done that. The last gripe is probably out of the villas remit but the bins to put your rubbish in were a very long way away from the villa not a show stopper at all but something to bear in mind. All in all a lovely villa in a lovely area and we wouldn't hesitate to stop there again. Thank you Casa Ladeira you have us a long awaited break in the sun which we loved.

“Casa Ladeira”
I cannot praise this villa any higher than telling you my only disappointment... the toaster was too small for the bread ! The villa was clean, well presented and of a very high standard whilst at a very affordable price. The pool area was well presented with good clean garden furniture and a nice sized pool to cool off. To top it off the views and surroundings were stunning. If you plan on cooking during your stay, the villa offers a nice modern kitchen with plenty of utensils and a lovely dining table to eat from. A car is highly recommended as travel into the main town of Caveriorio is 30 minute walk. Parking is off-road with its on drive. If I was asked to give this a mark out of 5... I would give it 6 for value for money. The pictures on the website is what attracted me to the property, and it doesn’t fail in reality.

“Casa ladeira, caraveiro, Portugal.”
Beautiful villa, home from home with the luxury of a pool. Very modern well maintained villa. Kitchen was very well equipped, everything you would need. 35 minute walk to town but a nice walk, €7 for a taxi back. Would highly recommend and would go back.

“Great villa in a fab location”
The villa was excellent and was really clean. It was really spacious and had everything we needed for our stay with 3 children aged 15,13 and 11. The children loved the big pool. The pool towels were a great addition and left more space in the cases. Great location within easy reach of Carvoeiro and some amazing beaches. We had car hire. Would highly recommend this villa.

Response from the owner There are some fair points raised and the feedback is greatly appreciated. With regards Kitchen facilities, I will consider some changes when I visit this summer. The area is notoriously hilly with steep cliffs etc and poor paving generally - so visitors with difficulties walking will always need to be aware. I trust the holiday was enjoyable and you would consider a return.
