Description
Casa Branco Grande is a 3 bedroomed villa located in the picturesque fishing village of Carvoeiro on Portugal's Algarve coast. The villa is ideal for families or groups of golfers looking to get away for some sun.
The villa is on two floors and possesses a private pool. Downstairs there's a large open plan living space which consists of dining and living areas.
The dining area has seating for six. There are fantastic reclining sofas and TV with international channels. There's also an open fire for those cosy nights in.
The living area opens on to the pool through shuttered French doors. By the pool you'll find sun loungers and patio furniture - useful when you get the BBQ fired up!
If you want to cook inside, the newly refitted kitchen is large and modern and has a full compliment of pots, pans, cutlery etc to meet all your needs.
The three bedrooms are light airy and air-conditioned. All have their own refitted modern bathrooms. Towels and bed linen are all provided
A large drive provides parking for 2 cars.
UPDATES 2021/2022
Based on feedback from our past guests we have made several improvements to make our villa an even better holiday home.
Pool has been refurbished and heating system installed.
Air Conditioning provides cooling in the summer and heating in the winter.
Hard beds have been replaced and soft furnishings updated
New outside lounge furniture in place on roof terrace.
New couches and dining set in the living area

“Lovely villa in a quiet location”
We had a lovely week staying here, the villa was perfect for our group which included young adults. Having a bathroom per couple was fantastic, it gave everyone their own privacy while still being together in one house. Maria (the maid) was lovely and kept the villa immaculate. We didn't hire a car and found it easy to walk to most places. We used Uber's for trips to the supermarket, waterpark and a few late night returns. These were really cheap and arrived in minutes. The area was really quiet and we had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing holiday.

“Good villa, but a little dated”
Good location with a 20 min walk to the local town, although the steep hill makes a taxi back advisable (approx. 5-7 EU). Maria, the maid was delightful, as was Pat the villa manager. The very practical welcome pack when we arrived late with hungry children was much appreciated and a lovely touch. Overall, the villa is very spacious and the kitchen well equipped, having Sky and good WIFI was a also an advantage. There are a few points however, that others have made on other reviews, that we would agree with, whilst the pool is great, it is very deep which could be problematic with children. Our kids are strong swimmers but not being able to touch the floor makes "playing" in the pool a little difficult, although great for their diving practice ! The villa also feels a little dated and could do with a refresh, curtains, cushions etc need replacing. Also worth pointing out that the beds are extremely hard, to be honest little more than a mattress on a board, and for us very uncomfortable. Worth noting too that the villa has no air conditioning which was a problem in the July heat.

“Spacious, well equipped villa”
We had a lovely 2 week stay at this villa which was in a quiet location and spacious enough for our two families. The new bathrooms and kitchen are modern and clean, the kitchen was well equipped. We were greeted by Patricia who was very friendly and left a lovely welcome basket. It was a pleasant 15/20 minute walk to the centre with its many restaurants, shops and evening entertainment. Part of the walk back was up a steep hill but we all found Sangria and ice cream helped! We also stayed in a few nights and made use of the BBQ, buying some lovely meat from the Intermarche butcher. Maria, the maid, was very friendly and came twice a week, there were plenty of towels in all the bathrooms and some for the pool too. Sky as a big plus for the sport and general channels and a bonus that it was in English. All in a all a very relaxing holiday.
