Description

Sunset 2 is a bright & airy self catering studio apartment set in the heart of the fishing village of Castara.

Just a short walk from either of the 2 sandy beaches

The studio has Caribbean sea views from the queen size double bed & most days you hear the waves kiss the shore!

The balcony is perfect for Alfresco dining, bird watching & sunsets

The studio has a 4 burner Saffire stove with grill, large fridge freezer, juicer + crockery & cutlery for 4

There is a separate single bed or Graco child's cot that can be requested at no extra cost for a third person or child

We built our house on the hillside overlooking Castara bay to enjoy the view & is now planted up & surrounded by flowers, plants & fruit trees so it blends in well with the forest that surrounds it.

Panday our gardener will give you bunches of bananas/ mangoes when in season for you to eat & enjoy.

There are also herbs to be picked to add to your cooking.

Getting around

Everything in the village is just a short walk away. You can choose to rent a car for all or part of your stay or why not hire a driver & car for a day or half day. That way you can sit back, watch the scenery & get local information on the places that you visit...!

Interaction with guest

Upon arrival you will be met by ourselves or our housekeeper Caryll who lives nearby. We will hand over the keys, give you the wi-fi code & answer any Qs that you might have. We enjoy meeting our guests-sharing a beer or two & like to make everyone feel at home. When we have fresh fish we often invite guests to join us for an evening meal around sunset-Its a good way to meet people & to make new friends & watch the sun go down! We are members of the Castara Tourism Development Association which does a lot for the improvement of the infrastructure & development of the village as an Eco-friendly destination for visitors & villagers alike.

Response from the owner Great guests who really got into the true spirit that is Castara! They were only here a week but managed to do so much and did not want to leave. We look forward to seeing them again for a longer stay next year (as long as Helen brings us more of that delicious Wensleydale and Swallowdale cheese!).

How do damage deposits work?

If Christopher and Yvonne (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
