Description

Cabier Ocean Lodge offers two types of rooms - "Superior" and "Standard"

The Perfect Waterfront Location

Set on a charming low headland, Cabier Ocean Lodge is surrounded on 3 sides by the calm waters of Cabier and Crochu bays with a view out over the protecting reef. On one side is the palm fringed golden sands of Cabier beach, just perfect for a relaxing swim and perhaps a snorkel round through the inner reef, perfect for snorkelling, to Crochu Bay, which is a calm shallow bay,. Cabier's often deserted beach is wide enough and with firm sands to enjoy beach games. Both bays are protected by an offshore reef, creating beautifully clear and calm water with an easy walk in. There is a Freshwater shower to clean off on the way back from the beach.

The Lodge enjoys stunning panoramic views across the beach & the bay to the ocean beyond, which can be enjoyed from all the rooms at the Lodge. Each room has It's own veranda overlooking Cabier bay. Pleasant footpaths meander through the gardens and along the coast to nearby beaches and bays, as well as to the little villages of Crochu and La Tante.

Cabier Beach

Cabier beach is protected by an offshore reef, has firm sand and a gentle slope to walk into the water. It is great for swimming (or just floating and playing around in) and snorkelling, as there is no current in the bay on the inside of the reef. It is little used during the week but can have a few people on it at the weekend. The beach is only about 100 yards away.

The Exotic Spice Island

Cabier Ocean Lodge is a great base to explore the many treats Grenada has to offer, and experience a true Caribbean culture. Because where Cabier is situated on Grenada, day trips can easily be made to the capital St George's where you can experience the wonderfully scented and colourful markets and historic waterfront area. Or take a trip via the waterfront town of Grenville (20 minutes up the road), the old French capital of the island, into the heart of Grenada, to explore the wonderful tropical rain forests and swim in the waterfalls. Buy home-grown fruits from local roadside stalls or in the local markets – mangoes, pineapple. Papaya, bananas, limes, etc. or whatever is in season. Sailing, fishing, and diving… day trips to neighbouring islands… these are all easily arranged allowing you to tailor your holiday to suit you.

Cabier Bar and RestaurantThe terrace bar and restaurant overlooks Crochu bay, sheltered from the sun by two mango trees. Serving breakfast, light lunches and table d'hôtedinners - an a la carte menu is also available for lunch and dinner onrequest. Run by Iris and Bruno, they are both generous hosts as many guests have said, with many years' experience and offer an authentic Caribbean as well as European/Caribbean fusion cuisine. Dining under the thousands of stars that arc over Cabier on a warm Caribbean night after a pre- dinner drink at the bar is an experience not to be missed.

Seriously Relaxing at CabierCabier is so relaxed that it is funny how the days slip by and you wonder what you did – but that is relaxing – or "liming" as the locals would say, and what Cabier is all about. The Cabier "family" of Iris,Bruno, Cindy and Florence look after you as if you are one of them but not forgetting that you are a guest. If you have a favourite dish, ask Bruno to cook it for you. If you want a drink during the day and Iris orCindy is not around, just write down what you have had, that is how relaxing it is to be at Cabier. If you feel more energetic than one of Bruno's walking or island sights tours might be for you. Walking along the coast or into the rain forest or more leisurely – the chocolate estate and the rum factory - is often a perfect way to spend a day with dinner back on the terrace to talk over the day's events. Cabier Ocean Lodge also has an indoor lounge and dining area, with large flat screen TV and DVD player. Free Wifi is available and there is a computer for guests to use. There is also a courtyard garden with a small local wildlife rescue menagerie, and guests can relax in the headland gardens in one of the hammocks slung between trees overlooking the beach and the ocean.
