Description
Briarwood Cottage is a charming self-contained two-bedroom barn conversion sleeping four. The cottage has been converted from a former farm buildings standing in the grounds of the owners' grade II listed farmhouse. The cottage enjoys all the comforts of home including Wifi.
Once forming part of the historic Gunton Hall Estate, the grounds of Nursery Farm include eight acres of woodland that visitors are free to explore. The owners live in the grade two listed brick and flint thatched farmhouse close to the holiday cottages.
This delightful corner of rural Norfolk is only five miles from the traditional seaside town of Cromer, famous for its delicious crabs and the end of the pier shows. Also within easy reach are the Norfolk Broads, the fascinating network of waterways where day boats are available for hire.

“Lovely friendly place to stay”
Very nice and well equipped barn conversion. Very clean and practical. The small woods at the back was handy for walking the dogs. Close to some lovely places to visit. Recommend wells next the sea for crabbing for the kids and it also has some lovely dog friendly pubs. We left some take away menus in the drawers in the dining room as we got two take aways and as we couldn't find any menus we thought they would come in handy. The owners are very friendly and helpful with tips on places to go. There is a laundry room and lots of washing lines which came in handy after surfing in Cromer. A very relaxing holiday. Would recommend highly

Response from the owner We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay with us, it is a shame but out of keeping with other reviews and guest feedback which rate the cottage highly, especially the cleanliness. The cottage is self catering not a serviced apartment so there is a limit to the 'little extras' we provide, such as soap, toilet rolls etc. As a courtesy we do provide some washing up liquid/dishwasher tablets and a toilet roll for your arrival day. I don't think it is unusual for self catering cottages not to provide these items for the duration of a stay. We did however leave a pint of milk in the fridge, home-made cake and tea and coffee for you to enjoy when you arrived. Regarding the beds we do find that this is very individual, some guests have found the bed comfy so I can't comment further. I do wish you had raised your queries during your stay, at no time did you make us aware that you were unhappy with your accommodation, in fact when you left you inferred that you had enjoyed your stay. As we live next to the cottages we are on hand would would have addressed any issues you had. For example if you felt the towels were not good enough we would have changed them. As a last comment I would mention that I have had the opportunity to sample hospital food and some is really rather nice!
