Response from the owner Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice review, so glad you enjoyed your stay here. We have tried to make it a home from home for our visitors. I hope that you will come and stay again if you make the long journey back to Orkney! PS - I think the cats enjoyed your fiddle playing :)

“Fabulous cottage”

Great cottage, very comfortable and well equipped. We are a family of 4 and the outside space and swings were great for the children. Location great for exploring the island by car. Welcome pack was lovely too.

“Great wee house, perfectly placed for exploring Orkney!”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2019

This is a well appointed wee house and perfectly placed for exploring Orkney and all it has to offer. There are a couple of hotels nearby where you can eat out (but book first!) or you can eat in and the kitchen is very well stocked. It's just the right size for a couple and has everything you need (including the owners cats if, like us, you are missing your own cat!!)

Response from the owner Thank you for your lovely review. We are indeed lucky to be in such an ideal location for exploring Orkney. We like to think that The Peedie Hoose is a home from home and a well equipped kitchen is a must. And, if you’re missing your cat from home, ours are always willing to say hello! We hope that you’ll come back to stay another time.

“The perfect family cottage to explore Orkney”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2018

A lovely wee 'hoose' that was ideal for our needs. A great location (20 mins to Kirkwall, 20 mins to Stomness) with all tourist attractions easily accessible by car. The accommodation was well equipped, warm, spacious and comfortable. Wendy was very warm and welcoming - thanks for the wine, cheese & biscuits! Our kids had a great time and we'll definitely be back!

“Superb”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2017

Impressively equipped, and tastefully done. Great views, nice eggs, only downside was the bumpy track to get there. This improved during our stay, through much effort by Heather McInnes. Safe for the dogs, and very welcoming. We're going back in a few weeks. Loved it. Unfortunately, it gave my wife ideas about how to improve the facilities at her holiday let in Alnmouth.
