New for 2021: All bedding replaced; all ceiling fans replaced; all TVs replaced with Roku Streaming Smart TVs; new wall-lighting and all new furniture in Ground-Level Den; new lighting in all bathrooms; new backsplash, stove, and microwave in Kitchen; resurfaced pool; all patio and pool furniture replaced with Polywood.
Everyone will have a blast at “Ivey's Lair” located oceanside in Duck Village! The southern charm will welcome you from the moment you drive up with the expansive covered decks and lush lawn. Outside, the kids can frolic in the private pool while adults take full advantage of the “Relaxation Station” with a Tiki Bar and Hot Tub all located poolside. Manicured lawn is fully enclosed with picket fencing around the pool, yard and volleyball area for kids and Fido to run and play. Did someone say “Beach”? Beautiful beach with an easy access is just a short walk from the property down the quiet neighborhood street. Two outside showers get everyone back and ready for fun in half the time! You'll have plenty of room in the car for all your toys, because sheets and towels are included in this outstanding vacation property package. Inside, the ground-level den is the perfect place to kick back and play video games, catch the game on TV or just relax with a movie. Upstairs, the whole family can relax and enjoy mealtimes, and two full-size refrigerators in the kitchen set this property apart from the rest. Decks abound on the rear of the property overlooking the pool, volleyball and enclosed yard. Walk into “downtown Duck” for shopping, coffee, gourmet goodies and wine. Stroll through the fresh air produce and seafood markets for tonight's meal. Miles of multi-use paths through Duck are perfect for joggers and bikers to get in their workout, or just meander around Duck for some sightseeing.

Fireplace seen in photos is non-functioning and not available for use. All Outer Banks Blue properties provide bed linens and bath towels for a small fee added to every reservation. We provide 1 bath towel and washcloth per advertised occupant. We provide 1 hand towel and 1 bar of soap per bathroom sink. We also provide kitchen towels. Beds are made prior to your arrival, and we provide a starter supply of toilet paper, bathroom soap, paper towels, and dishwasher detergent.

“Disappointed”
Great location but...House is totally outdated. Ripped up carpets, paint pealing, dirty, overgrown bushes, exterior needs to be painted. Pictures of the house that are posted must be very old.

Response from the manager The photos are fairly current. There were some updates this spring to the top level that need updated photos, which we hope to accomplish within the next week or so. Other than the bushes needing a trim the photos are accurate. The carpet is showing wear and tear from vacationers but I'm not seeing rips. I also didn't find any paint pealing. If you see this can you please let us know where these were? I took my time looking and didn't see it.

Actually you rented the property immediately after the owners of the property enjoyed a week for their personal use. These owners do a good job of anticipating guests needs and providing appropriate amenities at their property so we are disappointed to hear of your angst. We did respond to each call we received from your party and we apologize that our efforts did not meet your expectations. We also apologize that you expected a foosball table. This home does not have that amenity. The pictures should not have shown that on any site. The home does have a pool table however. We apologize for the confusion regarding that. Response from the manager Ms. Newman, Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. We apologize for your continued dissatisfaction with Ivey's Lair. We of course heard from you regarding the sheets, blankets, and propane. We dispatched someone to the property to rectify those issues right away and thought until this moment that they were solved. The propane was delivered on Thanksgiving night as you stated, and again we thought the issue was resolved. We did not hear anything further from you on the fireplace, nor the other items you outlined here. We would have been glad to take care of anything that we could during your stay. Relative to the value we feel like you may be mistaken. Ivey's Lair is a wonderful property. The pictures on our website are authentic, and I'm not sure you realize the value received on this rental as the cost was less than $100 per person for an 8 day stay. We hope you have a better stay next time. All the best from the beach!
