Cosy Retreats are proud to present Periwinkle Cottage. This idyllic getaway is furnished and equipped to a very high standard and provides the perfect base for those looking to explore the delights of the heritage coastline as well as those looking for total relaxation in this beautiful area.

The cottage provides accommodation for four people and is an ideal retreat for couples, families and groups of friends. For larger groups Periwinkle can be booked with its sister cottages, Snowdrop (no. 1128419) and Crocus (no. 1128692), which are part of the same converted stone coach house and also sleep four, therefore providing accomodation for up to 12 people.

Downstairs the cottage has an attractive open-plan living space, with lounge, kitchen and dining area. The lounge includes a large sofa and two comfortable chairs, 32" flat-screen TV with DVD and Freeview, an i-Pod docking station, CD player/radio and a selection of books, games and DVDs for those cosy evenings in. The modern kitchen includes an electric hob, grill and oven, a fridge with a freezing compartment as well as a microcwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere and tea, coffee and milk to welcome you at your journey's end. You will also find it is well stocked with cooking equipment and utensils. The dining area seats four comfortably at a traditional wooden dining table. The cottage also benefits from high-speed fibre broadband, perfect for keeping the kids entertained, if you have a little work to catch up on while you're away or just sharing photos of our beautiful county with friends and family! There is also a spin dryer for guests to use.

Upstairs the cottage has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each with a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, WC and wash basin.

Outside, the cottage opens up on to an L-shaped, south-facing patio area. There is a sturdy wooden bench as well as a picnic table and the area is fully enclosed to keep your little companions (two or four legged!) contained. There are two allocated parking spaces directly outside the cottage.

The heating in the cottage is by means of electric heaters in each room, the cost of which, as well as the provision of linen and towels, is included in the price. A travel cot and high chair are also available in the cottage, should you require them.

The owners of Periwinkle Cottage are always happy to welcome well behaved dogs with responsible owners. We would ask that you bring your own throws/blankets if you would like to have your four-legged friends on the sofa for cuddles!

Please note Periwinkle Cottage is available for short breaks all year round EXCEPT the May half term and summer school holidays.

“Perfect location”

Periwinkle Cottage is great and perfectly located to see the beautiful Northumberland coast. 10 minutes gets you to the A1, 50 minutes to Berwick. The beach is huge, gorgeous and an easy walk from the cottage. Village has 2 pubs and 2 shops so easy to get those things you forgot to bring. Greys Inn is very friendly, we left with 2 free bottles of beer from the barman on our 1st visit. A walk to Craster well worth it, looking forward to the freshly smoked kippers. Boat trip to Farne was great. The owner messaged the day of our arrival saying everything was ready and we could arrive early if we wanted. Inside the house is clean, comfortable and has everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Couldn’t recommend it more.

How do damage deposits work?
