Description

Our changeover day is USUALLY FRIDAY, but if you want your holiday to begin on ANOTHER DAY we will try to accomodate you, please email us to confirm. You are welcome from 4pm. Checkout time is 10.00am.

East View Cottage is handily located on the edge of the beautiful Peak District village of Eyam, just a short walk from local amenities yet on the footpath that takes you through farmland and unspoilt bluebell woods up onto the Gritstone edge for stunning views, spectacular walks and a wealth of wildlife, including several Buzzards.

The cottage is approached through a sunny walled garden and seating area from which the front door leads into the well equipped farmhouse kitchen with a large pine table, range cooker and open fire, perfect for romantic dining, or for family and friends to get together. Off the kitchen is a handy utility room with toilet, basin, washer, dryer, and storage for coats and boots. There is a cosy lounge with an open fire, window seat and internet TV available for lots of great movie choices.

Upstairs there are two pretty bedrooms with window seats- one double (with a travel cot if needed), and a flexible double/ triple bedroom with a king size and a single, or just a king sized bed. There is also a family bathroom with over-bath shower.

We welcome guests by laying the fires for your arrival and making the beds with pure cotton linens and feather and down bedding ( synthetic bedding also available on request), as well as providing a few toys, books, games and local information, and equipment for your small children or pets.

Dogs are always welcome for a small extra charge of £20 per dog per stay ( this is payable at the cottage,by cash please, as we are unable to collect this through the TripAdvisor website )

“Wonderful and relaxing cottage”

We (family of five) had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay at East View Cottage in Eyam. The cottage was cozy and comfortable with everything we needed for a complete R&R time away. There were walks straight from the door and plenty to see and do in the area.

We had a great weekend in Eyam made perfect by our stay in East View cottage. The owners have thought of every little detail to make sure your stay is just right. We had chocolate biscuits for our toddler, prosecco for us and a dog bed with blanket and towel provided. We will definitely be recommending and would love to stay again in the future.

“Lovely cottage in the heart of the Peak District”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2021

A lovely cottage for our stay in the Peak District. We checked in to find a few welcome gifts from the owner which went down well with the whole family. Despite being an old cottage, the kitchen was well equipped with mod cons (dishwasher, microwave etc). A separate utility room was useful with a downstairs toilet as well as washing machine and tumble drier. The lounge was comfortable and the children were overjoyed to find the TV had Netflix. Upstairs the main bedroom was comfortable as was the second bedroom which had 3 individual beds set up (on request). The bathroom was large and the shower was hot and powerful, perfect after a long walk. The outside garden and upstairs were nice spaces that would have been used more if the weather had been sunnier/warmer. The location allowed us to do walks around Eyam and the surrounding areas without having to travel too far. The village is full of history and the museum is worth a visit.
