Description from owner

Description

The Granary is the most compact of the three Sakli Vadi cottages. The cottage nestles in it’s own garden behind high walls for absolute privacy. At the western end is a rock garden with a myriad of flowering plants and shrubs.

The patio is on three levels. On the higher level there is plenty of room to lie out on the sunloungers next to the small plunge pool. Below the pool is a terrace with an enormous moveable sun shade, with comfotable chairs to just relax and read or chat. Then, step down under the pergola into a private terrace where dining chairs and tables are provided for those quiet, leisurely meals and peaceful sundowners. On this lower terrace, under the pergola, is a traditional Turkish fireplace with bench seats. The fireplace is fitted with a barbecue and is the ideal place to wile away those long summer evenings after a quiet dinner.

The accommodation consists of an entrance hall into the fully fitted kitchen. Off the kitchen is the shower room. Also leading off the kitchen are double doors into the combined lounge and double bedroom. One of the period features of this cottage is the corner hearth. These large fireplaces were used to generate both warmth and to cook on in years gone by.

Further details

Sakli Vadi is a small family owned and run, fully independent tourism company. We don't have any fixed changeover days and we work around the flights and dates which best suit you our clients. We can arrange car hire (delivered to and collected from the cottages) and airport transfers, if required.

We ask our clients to pay 50% up front to confirm their bookings and the balance one month prior to arrival please. We accept UK cheques, ibanking transfers and we have a PayPal account if customers wish to use credit cards to pay. We have to unfortunately add 5% if clients wish to use PayPal, because of the commissions they charge us.

Once paid, both deposits and balances are non-refundable. This is because as soon as a deposit is paid, all other enquires for The Granary are then declined.

Further details indoors

Our nearest airport is Dalaman. Since it's recent facilities expansion, many charter airlines now fly in all year round from many UK regional airports, as well as London Gatwick.

Presently the airlines with the most flights are EasyJet, Maersk Air, Onur Air, Atlas Jet, Thomas Cook, Hapag Lloyd, Pegasus and Monarch Air. Turkish Airlines also has scheduled flights from Istanbul.

We can arrange airport transfers and/or car hire with local companies that we can thoroughly recommend.

Although we have ticked that we have a CD player, it is actually an iPod/MP3 system, which most of our guests now have.

Further details outdoors

The Granary garden and terrace are very private, with lots of well established flowers and bushes. The Granary has it's own small plunge pool on a patio area above the terrace.

The stereo systems are stored at another location and are available on request. The stereo systems are suitable for iPods and MP3 players only and not CDs.
