“What a wonderful stay” Have never stayed in such a beautiful holiday rental property,(have stayed in many) i speak for me and the party of eight who equally enjoyed the lovely, extremely comfortable house. Private pool, sauna lovely garden and my first experience of the very grand Turkish bath, perfect after a long day visiting the ruins of Ephesus and St Johns Church which was on our doorstep. Alison could not have been more helpful, she even filled the fridge with provisons which we were very grateful for after a long journey and late arrival. The mini bus, airport transfers and advice made our stay even more enjoyable. Selcuk is a very beautiful place with many very interesting things to do and see, the local restuarants were all very good and we enjoyed Pamucak beach very much, the sunset was stunning. I have no trouble what so ever to recommend St Johns House and only wish we can once again enjoy another stay at the house sometime in the future.

“Lovely property in a pretty garden setting” We had five nights at this lovely property in Selcuk. Alison was on hand when we arrived to introduce the property, give us advice on local attractions and provide a warm welcome. She'd even done some shopping for us, based on our advance email. The two bedrooms are most comfortable, a well equipped kitchen, bathroom with washing machine, beautiful pool, pretty garden and some friendly visiting cats. A small disadvantage is the living area which is on the (enclosable) verandah. But you shouldn't be at home too much anyway. There is so much to see in the area. Ephesus, of course, but we also enjoyed driving out to Didyma, Miletus and Priene. Ask alison about the fish restaurant on this trip. Aphrodisias and Pammukale were a longer day out. The town itself is worth exploring. Some good restaurants and the Mosque and the Basilica of St John very good, as well as the Museum. Good property in a great location at a reasonable price.

Ionia House, sensational property with private pool, sleeps 5
Comfortable, relaxing , perfect!

We spent a very pleasant, relaxing week at Ionia House in mid June. The weather became quite hot later in the week, but the air con did a great job keeping us cool! Alison arranged every detail for us, including a lift from the airport, food and wine in the fridge and good advice on interesting trips out and good places to eat. Ionia house is a very clean well designed and comfortable converted old town house. The pool was very clean and inviting, the terrace was private and we were surrounded with beautiful flowers and interesting artefacts. We have visited Turkey several times before, but this is definitely the best place we have stayed! We hope to return in a few years to visit all the other interesting places in the area, we will visit Ionia again! … see more
Garden House, paradise in Selcuk, sleeps 5
Garden House is a fabulous place to stay for your holiday.

My wife and I stayed for one week in Garden House in Selcuk. Garden House is an attractive and comfortable house that has everything you will need for a great holiday break. The house is spacious, very well cared for and exceptionally well designed. My compliments to the architect. There is a semi-covered sitting out area that is fabulous for late mornings and barbecues in the evening. You can use the pool in the adjoining garden to cool off during the hot days in this area of Turkey. The house is cool (thick walls), but alison also provides electric fans if there is a problem. We were there in very warm weather and had no problem at all. The house is well situated in a quiet area, five minutes away from the town, but seconds away from friendly bars and some restaurants. The house is a wonderful home away from home, and great to come back to after a day of sightseeing. Selcuk itself is a friendly and interesting town. It is just the right size to walk through. There are good markets, interesting shops, good restaurants, and the people could not be friendlier. Alison Morel, who manages the house, is very welcoming and extremely helpful. She answered all our questions online before we arrived, took very good care of us when we did arrive (met us at the bus from the airport, took us to the house, and made great recommendations). She really facilitated our trip to Selcuk. She also arranged a trouble-free car hire at exceptionally reasonable price for 2 days. The car was delivered and picked up from the house. We have rented houses in other countries before, but this house is definitely one of the best we have had. … see more
Goldsmith House, Stunning property, sleeps 5
An idyllic holiday!

Our first time in Turkey and we had such a lovely time! Goldsmith House is such a beautiful place to stay, with a lovely garden with lemon and pomegranate trees. There is also a grape vine which is lovely and shady to sit beneath. The pool was very welcome in the heat and we also enjoyed swimming under the stars.We enjoyed waking up to the sound of the prayers from the mosque and the neighbours cockerel. The house is situated in a very old part of Selcuk near to a beautiful old mosque and the church of St. John. There are cobbled sreets and whitewashed houses and a local shop to collect bread from. It is also a 5 minute walk into Selcuk where there are lovely restaurants and shops. The bus station is very near where it is easy to catch the dolmus to visit the local sites. Alison was very helpful and welcoming and was easy to contact if we had any queries. Ephesus is a must and we fell in love with Priene! We found the Turkish people all very friendly and helpful and the food delicious. A very memorable holiday and we can't wait to go back. … see more
St Johns House, superb villa, sleeps 9, private pool, sauna.
Our best holiday yet!

We have just returned from our most sucessful holiday yet! We were welcomed by alison, She kindly bought in some provisions ready for us, to welcome us after a long night-time journey, and made us feel at home immediatly! Alison answered all of our questions relating to activities and places of interest ( of which there a many in the locality)to keep several teenagers happy! We visited several sites and spent a wonderful day at the beach in the Mili Park Nature Reserve. St Johns House, situated in the very pleasant older part of town, was perfect. A swimming pool, sauna and even a Turkish bath, a new experience for all of us and very welcome after a busy hot day!The house was very clean and felt very grand compared to our house in England. I would definately recommend St Johns House for a family or group of friends to enjoy a pleasant stay in Turkey. … see more
