Supplied us with an enormous amount of info to get around athens and the suburbs.The view from the terrace is spectacular. Getting to Syntagma Square was ever so easy.We spent most of our evenings at the local square, just a block or 3 away. Just people watching. The locals were so friendly, we felt like family. Will I stay in the suburbs again?, without blinking an eye... yes, yes, yes.This is the way to see al the historical places in athens and get to know the locals. If I could, I would give Nikos and his apartment a 10 star rating. Efharisto poli to all.

“A wonderful stay in a lovely home with homely and gracious peopl” We had a lovely time in the cottage. It provides more than what is said on the advert.It has a big garden and a spacious environment. Liana and family are lovely, kind and hospitable people. They love to have people around and as frequent travellers, this is the first place my family and i felt soo welcome. She makes lovely dishes and her cottage is cosy, big, clean and well equiped. Its a great place for children too and very close to amenities. Its highly recommended and we will be there again in the near future. I would love to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to liana,her husband, Dimitris and Stella for an unforgettable Holiday. You are all great people!!! God bless you all.

“Wonderful Place to Stay with amazing View” My family of four stayed in this cozy, clean and welcoming 3 bedrooom apartment located on a quite street. It has a beautiful terrace, and the rooms are nicely designed. Nikos put a lot of effort in making our stay enjoyable and we thank him for everything. “Absolutely faultless!” Excellent apartment! We realized this the moment we stepped in... as good in every sense as the photos on the internet! Spotlessly clean, and has everything you need to make it your 'home from home'! There is also access to a rooftop patio which offers excellent views over the city. It has tables, chairs and sun loungers, and we spent some lovely time up there enjoying the stunning view. Like others have said: the apartment is quiet, the neighbours are very friendly; it's also close to a little corner supermarket that sells most things you might need. Although we did not have the pleasure of meeting Nikos in person (as he also was away on a family break), we have communicated extensively with him, both on the phone and via e-mail, and he has always come over very nice and helpful indeed. We highly recommend him as a person to do business with and, of course, are pleased to give this apartment the highest possible number of stars. We could go on and on... We had a superb time; thank you Nikos!

“Lovely house in a residential area” Ares' House is all as it is described in its adverts. It is modern with quality, comfortable furnishings, sleeps six in three bedrooms and has a bathroom and shower room. The large open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge is well equipped and there is a new television and DVD player. Although there are no English language channels, there are many English and american programmes broadcast in English with subtitles. Outside the main door is a porch that has a table and chairs and some informal seating with a coffee table. The 'yard' is a brick paved area in which there is a barbecue some planters and, in the summer, a mulberry tree to sit under. The house is situated in a cul-de-sac of 7 houses, two of which at least are occupied by the caretaker, Mina, and her wider family. Mina is very conscientious and speaks some English. However, her niece, who lives opposite the house has excellent English and helps with explanations when needed. The neighbours are very friendly, and although few spoke much English, always acknowledged us as we went past. The old lady Sophia, who lives opposite, brought us in grapes from her garden as did Mina. The neighbourhood is residential and not generally for tourists. Zevgolatio is a small town about a mile off the old athens-Corinth-Patras road and has everything you need if you don't want to venture far afield. Supermarkets Lidl,Spak,Carrefour, MyMarket and Eurospar are on the main road. The motorway and the sites of archeoCorinth and acroCorinth are each 10-15 minutes away. We were very grateful to anastasia and Jim for a very efficient booking service and quick responses to any queries we had. Do not be put off that you sending money to Canada to rent a house in Greece, it is legitimate! We had a great time in ares' House and in the area generally and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants a bit of Greek sun and a base from which to see the archaeological sites.

“So Convenient!” When I hear "cozy," I think small. This apartment was anything but small. It comfortably accommodated a family with small children in a homelike atmosphere. You cannot beat the location. The apartment is on a pedestrian street within a few blocks of Syntagma, metro, many shops, markets,cafes, restaurants, Plaka, and historic sites. We appreciated use of the washing machine, internet, air conditioning and the elevator,(apt is on the 4th floor). Stahis, the owner, also has a travel agency in the same building and can arrange transport if needed or tours if you are interested. Would definitely stay here again.

“Great apartment. Great stay. Great vacation.” I thought it would be fun and interesting to stay in an apartment rather than a traditional hotel for our athens vacation. We are a family of four from the northeast us, the dad being of Greek descent, with kids ages 10 and 12. We wanted a home base from which to visit the city and surrounding areas and take excursions to the beaches and islands. We wanted a two bedroom apartment in a quiet part of town with the essentials: kitchen, washer, internet, air conditioning. We needed it to be close to the Metro to let us get into the center and we wanted a few local options for shopping and dining. This apartment has all that. The rooms are quiet, on the top 5th floor of a recent construction building. The bulding has an elevator and is mostly occupied but very quiet and feels secure. The neighborhood is residential with some small businesses, shops and restaurants within an easy walk. The walk to the Daphni Metro station is short and the red line is modern and quick to the dontown areas. We are one stop away from the Metro Mall at St. Demetrios station (for a us style outing) and five stops from the akropolis station. Athens is best explored on foot so bring good shoes a good backpack and climatecool clothing. The beaches along the attic coast a ok and easy to get to (a 30 minute bus ride from Daphne) but for small funds it is easy to get to aegina for a day trip and other islands are not too far. The metro connects to Piraeus for access to the ferry. If you are travelling from the us you will need some downtime to adjust to the time zone. We were grateful to have a comfortable place to rest the first few days and we purchased food at the local market next to the station to avoid eating out too much. Overall we are very pleased and highly recommend this apartment.

“Friendly and convenient” I have stayed in four of these apartments and they never disappoint on cleanliness and convenience. The good wifi is a real bonus. The friendly landlord is available in the office during the day or always on his mobile for any assistance you require which is very reassuring for a solo traveller. I highly recommend this apartment.
