Villa Firdaus is centrally situated on the hillside above Funchal, close to amenities, making it ideal for exploring the island be it shopping, swimming in the sea, walking in the mountains or just relaxing at the villa.
Relax in this tastefully decorated and well-appointed, comfortable home. The house has 3 spacious double bedrooms, main ensuite, with a full second bathroom. All of the bedrooms lead onto a wooden sundeck, overlooking a lush garden, perfect for that early morning cup of coffee, brunch or evening sundowner. The well-equipped, modern, open-plan kitchen leads onto a dining room and comfy lounge to a small covered veranda looking towards the sea.

“Stunning Villa”
The Villa itself is just as stunning as the views that come with it! It’s very clean and well looked after. As said before the views from the property terraces are stunning. The Villa is also in a great location and provides great convenience. Lastly, the hospitality provided by Joao the property manager is amazing. He provided us with lots of information to help us get the most out of our stay in Madeira, he also provided us with a welcome package that included wine and other local delicacies; he also gave us a freshly baked cake! Next time we come to Madeira we’ll look no where else but here for accommodation. Thank you very much, Johnny, Munkuti and Fin.

“August 2021 Stay”
My wife and I stayed here for 16 days in August. We were the first people to stay since Madeira re-opened to tourism after the pandemic. We loved our time here. The kitchen and bathrooms have been recently re-done to be modern and in good working function. No A/C in the house, so in August it was a little hot, but manageable. The location was perfect in our opinion. Far enough from the downtown to feel tranquil, but close enough to walk or catch a short bus/taxi ride to town or the beach. Also less that a 10 minute walk is a supermarket, bakery, fruteria, butcher, pharmacy, restaurant, and more. Anything you could need. Jill was a fast and communicative host. Joao was a welcoming, charming, helpful property manager and all around great person. We hope to be back soon!

“Never made it!”
We were supposed to have a 4 week break in the villa. Unfortunately we never made it due to Portugal’s lockdown (we made it to Madeira but weren’t allowed off the plane so we had to fly straight back to England!). I wanted write this review to say how fantastic Jill has been during the process of booking the villa and then securing a refund. She has been extremely communicative and liaised with us and Tripadvisor to get it done in a very timely manner. I am very grateful to her. I will have no hesitation in booking the villa in future.
