Description

Bay Vista Garden Flat is located in the Simonstown area of the cape peninsula. We are high on the mountainside with lovely ocean views over False Bay, as well as views of the mountains and the Glencairn wetland nature area.

The accommodation is a totally private apartment situated below the main residence, and we offer a comfortable, spacious self catering venue from which to create beautiful holiday memories.

Load-shedding is not a problem as we have an inverter/ battery system that keeps all your lights and Wi-Fi on. An easy to use gas cooker allows you to make your tea/coffee, or rustle up a quick meal.

Bay Vista is a comfortable affordable venue that frees up your budget to enjoy the many sights and experiences of the peninsula and greater Cape Town. We are ideally situated with easy access to the penguins, Cape Point, the winelands and the Cape Town waterfront.

Closer to home the start of the Elsies Peak hiking trail is 20 metres from your door. This trail through the fynbos provides truly magnificent views over the entire vista of False Bay.

There are wonderful beaches such as Fish Hoek (with the new safety net) and Glencairn beach (which you can see from Bay Vista), and we can tell you of some special secret beaches as well, to avoid the crowds.

The world class spectacle that is the Boulders penguin colony is minutes away. Where else in the world can you swim with wild penguins?

Go to sleep listening to the gentle sound of the waves on Glencairn beach.

Children are free to explore the garden, but must be considerate of the koi in the pond, and not play in their vicinity, as the fish become stressed. There is still plenty of other garden and paths to explore :-)

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Rob (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
