Description
Casita Tomate is a cosy one bedroomed house situated in the middle of the village of El Ferrer. Accessed through the dwarf front door the house having traditional wooden beams through out. There is an open plan sitting-room, kitchen dinning area on the ground floor with old wooden stairs leading to the bedroom and shower room and private terrace.
Although small is has all you need for a relaxing holiday, with Wifi internet. TV, DVD and CD player
The small private terrace with great views, you can relax and have that well earned break and as there is so very little light pollution you can just sit , relax and watch the stars
For a nominal charge there is a shared pool and jacuzzi should you wish to use it during the summer months There are simple rules set by the pool's owner which are explained prior to payment and use. There is a siesta time.
Portable fans are provided for the summer, gas and electric heaters for the colder months
An excellent escape for those wishing to get away from the rat race, as the road stops in Barranco Ferrer there is no through traffic, making it a safe and carefree location So enjoy a little hill walking, sight seeing, and bird watching. El Ferrer is only 7.5km inland ( 2km partically surfaced ) from coastal town Castell de Ferro where you will find beaches, bars, restaurants and shops. Castell de Ferro is on the Costa Tropical, an area devoted to horticulture rather than tourism but, with its beautiful rugged coastline and secluded bays and beaches, it is popular as a holiday destination for Spanish families.

“Charming, quaint, low ceiling house with wonderful night sky views”
Walking into the house it is like going back in time, with respect to the architecture but with all of the modern world facilities. The ceilings are low and the access to the first floor, up short, steep stairs, leads into a small double bed, bedroom and en-suite shower room. Access out onto the terrace (only accessible from the bedroom) is via a low level door - so quaint and enticing. Daytime is a wonderful sun trap and night time is superb viewing of the night skies. Seeing shooting star is a wonderful way to end each day. A truly hidden gem, all the more interesting given that you can appreciate how houses were build many, many years ago - full of character and charm
