I could quite happily have moved into this cottage and never moved out again! Lovely cottagey feel, lounge was really comfy and the new modern kitchen provided everything we needed. Bathroom was new and well designed. Bedrooms were cosy and homely.

A Fabulous Hideway

This cottage was in a wonderful "away from it all" location. it was very well set out, very well equiped and the owners were extremely nice people they made us all, including our golden retriever dog, feel extremely welcome. There were many and varied walks in and around the area and the cottage was a delightful retreat at the end of each day. We will certainly return.

We came here to enjoy a ten year sixth form reunion with some of our group having young babies. The venue was great, with a large communal area which was perfect for our requirements. the 'snug' helped to create a smaller communal area where people could watch a DVD or have a little quiet time away from general baby chatter etc. Excellent venue for board games, general wanderings and reminiscing.

Modern, clean, great for large groups

This property is really spacious, there were 10 of us and a few kids and there was plenty of space. The bedrooms are lovely, the property does have the 'wow' factor when you first walk in which I don't think really shows on the photos. We have stayed a lightwood Cottage a couple of times over the last year. The cottage is well furnished and equipped, clean and is conveniently located both for Buxton and open countryside. We travelled to Buxton by train but there is ample car parking at the property. We will almost certainly return and would recommend the cottage for an enjoyable break.

Despite April snow, Myrtle cottage was fabulous! Well equipped kitchen, clean bathroom and comfortable bedroom. The house is very well situated for visitors to the Peaks. Contemporary fittings, clean and comfortable. We particularly liked the dishwasher. No holiday let should really be without one!!

Service we got was fantastic even down to the biscuits and milk and tea that was in for us arrivind. The cottage is pristine clean with everthing you need for your stay. The on-site landlords of this property are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The apartment is brilliant for two people and comfortable as well as being nicely presented. The property interior was new, clean and smart. It is a recent barn conversion and has been well done. The owner lives in the farmhouse just over the driveway and we were met and shown round and made welcome. The fact that the cottage is in the middle of a working farm was fine as it was all accommodation around and it is a sheep farm and you look out across the garden, field and fells.

Stayed here from 15th to 19th Nov 2013

I would describe this place as almost perfect, nice location 5 minutes from the local pub. A pleasant hour and a half walk to Castleton.

The loft itself is cosy with everything you could possibly need, one thing that's makes a big difference is the presence of a decent sized fully working TV especially at this time of year.

Ideal for dog lovers

This cottage, part of a converted farm complex, is well situated for a holiday in the Peak District. The gardens are enclosed and even our lively Patterdale terrier could find no way out. The view from the cottage is superb with rolling hills and sheep meadows. The cottage is well appointed although the lounge furniture is getting rather worn.
