Description

Mutti’s Cottage is on the same property as the very popular Chateau Neuf du Cap (Bookingcom review of 10 stars – “Exceptional”). It is situated on the slopes of the Hout Bay Valley behind Table Mountain. It is very close to the famous “World of Birds” – and one can appreciate the prolific bird like in the area.

The self-catering cottage consists of 1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom (bath + shower), 1 additional toilet and a lounge/dining room with double sleeper couch. The kitchen is open plan.

Guests can prepare their meals in the kitchen equipped with an oven and hob, microwave and fridge with a freezer.

There is safe off-the-street parking and automatic gates. Car park position is right next to the cottage for easy access.

Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the swimming pool, and attractions in the area include Chapman’s Peak Drive 8.7 km away and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, a 16-minute drive from the property.

Cape Town is 20 km from Chateau Neuf du Cap and Cape Town International Airport is just over half an hour drive away.

Between your hosts Ashley & Debbie Holling - we speak English, Afrikaans, French and German.

Getting around

Recommended to have car rental or travel by Uber which is very easy to use. The owners frequently use Uber themselves. Chateau Neuf du Cap is quite accessible. We are walking distance to one of the stops of the very popular and enjoyable "Hop-on, Hop-off City Sightseeing Cape Town Red Bus". Once on board - it takes you on a beautiful scenic tour all along the coastal road to Cape Town - and back via botanical gardens and winelands. We are only a 20-minute drive to the centre of Cape Town, Table Mountain and the Waterfront. We are 30 minutes drive from the airport.

Interaction with guest

We live on the same property - and are always available to assist when needed. At the same time - the appartment is very private and separate - with its own double garage. The level of interaction is totally on the terms of our guests.

Mutti's Cottage in the grounds of Ashley's and Debbie's beautiful house was well equipped and peaceful with an amazing pool. The whole family were welcoming and helpful, with nothing too much trouble for them to make our stay enjoyable. Harry, their poodle was a delight! Both their staff were happy and friendly and did their jobs well. A car was essential for us to get around but access to Hout Bay and surrounding areas was easy. We really enjoyed our stay - excellent in all areas. We will be recommending Mutti's Cottage to all our friends!

How do damage deposits work?
