Description
Garrison Farm is a traditional cottage set 1 mile off the West Highland Way, with grazing ground and outbuildings commanding outstanding mountain and river views. The buildings once formed The Garrison Of Inversnaid built in 1718 built by the Duke of Montrose for housing English soldiers to fight the Jacobite rising and the infamous Rob Roy MacGregor.

“Hidden Gem”
We absolutely loved our short stay at the garrison and were so disappointed we couldn’t stay longer! The Hosts made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, the accommodation was perfect, clean, cosy, and catered to our every need. The garrison is also developing into a small holding with highland cows, sheep, chickens, ducks and geese, short tours are can be arrange, which I would strongly recommend. The hosts take such care, pride and passion in all they do that it’s easy to become quite taken with the place. We loved our stay and home to travel back again some time

“Best Hostess we ever met”
Kelly and Paul are fantastic hosts. If you are looking for somewhere remote, long walks, fantastic home cooked food then this is the place to go. The only downside for us was the fact that nearest pub/restaurant (half mile) were closed for winter. Kelly went way above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, she is a fantastic cook (check out her homemade carrot cake and roast beef dinner) and very attentive to her guests. Very clean accommodation and no noise from animals on the farm so a good restful place after hiking around the lochs and the scenery is beautiful.

“Solitude by Loch Lomond where peace comes dropping slow”
We really enjoyed this quiet, very remote property. It has very convenient access to the lake nearby and its cruises from the quay at Inversnaid. Owner was very welcoming and helpful.

“Lovely property in a fantastic location!”
Had a very pleasant stay at this property. After arriving at this amazing location we were made to feel very welcome. A very homely feeling about the place. The property is kept at a very high level, very clean and tidy and all your needs considered. Has everything you could need, its very relaxing with lots of information about surrounding areas and what there is to do and explore around. Perfect area for nature lovers that want to explore the beautiful areas around. Would highly recommend and we will be back. Many thanks to the owner for making our stay a lovely one.
