Description

Casa das Pedras is a two storey village house built in 2006

It is situated at the edge of Jardim do Mar in an area known as the Pontinha or little headland. It is reached on foot by a 200m path from the village square.

It has two double bedrooms.

There is one bathroom, with WC, basin, bidet and shower,and a ground floor cloakroom with WC and hand basin.

The open plan kitchen has an oven, cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, coffee maker etc. There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board.

The lower floor has an enclosed courtyard dining area adjoining the lounge, with a built in BBQ.

The lounge has WiFi Internet access and German language satellite TV.

The upper floor has a balcony to both bedrooms with sea and sunset views.

Casa das Pedras shares a swimming pool with Villa Atlantica and Villa Oceana.

The pool is located on a separate, slightly lower terrace, and is for the exclusive use of guests staying at the three villas.

The pool is over 2 metres deep and small children will require supervision.

Getting around

A seafront pedestrian promenade provides a beautiful setting for a pleasant stroll. The little harbour has a slipway for small boats, a clean pebble beach for swimming and snorkelling, and nearby beach-bar. The next village Calheta (5 min. drive) has a busy marina, a sandy bathing beach, shops, supermarket and several more restaurants. Whale and dolphin watching or fishing excursions can be arranged from Calheta. A hire car is virtually essential as the village is not a tourist centre and has minimal public transport. Some of the island's finest scenery and walking are within a 20 minute drive into the mountains.
