Home from home but better!
Straigona is a purpose built B&B with comfortable rooms and views over Inganess Bay and onto the island of Shapinsay. Semi rural and just 5 miles from Kirkwall. Ideally situated for touring mainland Orkney. Breakfasts include local produce and we offer packed lunches and evening meals at an additional charge. We are happy to make reservations at restaurants and places of interest for you. We are members of the RSPB and can recommend good bird-watching areas. Also keen walkers and can advise on good walking routes.
**Prices are based on double occupancy for each of our en-suite rooms. For single occupancy please contact us.**

“Straigona B&B”
This stay was perfect. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet and breakfast was so tasty with a lot to choose from, everything you need for a great holiday. What made it even better we’re the hosts Julie and Mike they were really lovely very helpful and knowledgeable about the area it just made my first stay on Orkney brilliant.

We spent 3 nights with Julie and Mike, and they looked after us really well. Good sized room with comfy king bed. Excellent breakfasts too.
