18th century stone cottage in former farm courtyard, private patio garden & surrounding flower filled gardens with far reaching views across fields to woods.
Well-equipped, well presented property for a relaxing home from home stay, the perfect base to explore the Loire Valley countryside, châteaux, historic towns, villages, vineyards & gardens.
les Limornieres is much-loved much returned to some guests returning more than once a year to treat the place as their second home in France!
For city dwellers, the cottage provides an authentic experience of living the French village life, idyllic, peaceful setting, the village offers guests the chance to sample coffee & croissant on the pavement in the morning sun, there are local markets and many of the neighbouring farms are happy to sell their produce direct to visitors.
For log haul guests who are away from home for weeks or months, les Limornieres provides the perfect place to pause after Paris - easy access via TGV to Tours (St Pierre des Corps) where pre-booked hire cars are available for collection.

Walking - good mix of walking environments( woods, fields, tracks, rivers and quiet roads) many circular routes start from village centres, maps provided.
Great local food & wine - local markets, restaurants and producers.

Dining at Maison Dallais - La Promenade in le Petit Pressigny and l'Ardoise in Chinon are both a popular choice and places we enjoy eating at too. Loches provides a great day out and is reached in only 30 minutes via quiet roads through countryside and villages. The medieval town, Royal palace and Donjon are a great place to wander, there are a good range of restaurants to choose from or a picnic purchased from the Wednesday or Saturday morning market and eaten in the idyllic riverside public gardens is a great way to pass the afternoon.

“Lovely quaint French cottage in relaxing rural location”
Very warm welcome from the owners who generously provided us with wine and food on our arrival. Nicole and Alex were kind, helpful and ready to help at any time if we had needed it. The cottage itself was charming, clean, and well equipped; people over 6ft might need to be aware of a low beam and the sloping ceilings! The location is convenient for the town of Le Grand Pressigny, with its chateau and museum, at about 1.5 miles away and there is so much to see and do in the area, well documented in a helpful folder for guests to browse through. Thoroughly recommended and thank you, Nicole and Alex, for a lovely stay.
