Description
Kent period farmhouse with lots of history and large rooms, in a very pretty part of the country with great transport links. All five bedrooms are spacious and cosy. The three on the first floor are doubles with king-size beds, feature fireplaces and big sash windows. Two of the beds are romantic four-posters and one bedroom has an en-suite shower room. The attic rooms have 2 further bedrooms. The first attic room has a single Laura Ashely iron bed and a cupboard full of board games and jigsaws. The second has 2 single wooden beds, than can also be pushed together. Note access is through the first attic room and they do have steep stairs. We also have 2/3 cot beds available for infants. Please ask.
Our house has been designed for varied accommodation requirements. Please do make sure that your requested booking is entered with the correct number of people staying at our house, including children who require beds. (not infants). The number of people staying will affect the price just the same as a hotel or B&B. If you enter just 2 people, then only 2 people can stay!
The kitchen has an Aga and an electric cooker, and the scullery has the dishwasher, a washing machine, microwave and built-in coffee machine. The dining room has a huge inglenook fireplace and log burner, the sitting room has enormous triple squishy sofas, a woodburner and large 50 inch, flat-screen TV, and the music room offers drums, a piano, guitar, music system and books. Also a desk if you need to catch up on work with good internet access. Then there's also a cellar where you can use the pool table and darts board, as well as a tumble dryer. And also houses our Cinema room with 80 inch surround sound DVD projection screen. Seats 5-7. You'll have an unlimited stock of logs in the wood store, where you can lock up your own bikes or outdoor equipment. There is a fully enclosed garden mainly laid to lawn that wraps around the side and front of the farmhouse. You can play croquet or simply sit in the sun on the picnic benches. The farmyard provides parking for 3 cars. If you need more spaces, please ask.
This is an old listed house with lots of stairs and the ones to the attic rooms are quite steep. The house is furnished for quiet and friendly relaxation and enjoying the countryside and surrounding area and villages, so sensible parties and celebrations are welcome, however we are unable to accommodate loud or drunken parties
