Description
In the heart of the Pays d'Auge, famous for its rolling hills and verdant landscapes, within an hour of Deauville coast and the d-day beaches, near castles, picturesque hamlets, and a 12th century chapel,our property is set on 13 acres of apple orchards and farmland. Totally tranquil, the 18th converted stable is decorated with antiques and adjacent to a private swimming pool and private garden. The guest cottage has a large double bedroom with beamed ceiling and antique headboard, dresser and dressing table, two very small single bedrooms with proper beds, a large country kitchen opening on to a cozy sitting/dining room. (One of the small single bedrooms does not have its own window but has ventilation from the window in the hallway). Fans are provided for all rooms. Beamed ceilings, modern bath/shower room, satellite TV, WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, wood burning stove. The guest cottage is one of the five outbuildings on an historic property, the cider press dating to the 18th century and the manor house to the 17th C. Complimentary bottle of cider and Normandy cookies on arrival. Perfect for a small family or those seeking complete peace and quiet in a pastoral, bucolic environment.

We prefer non-smokers and no animals, only because we have 1 dog, 3 cats,and horses. If guests wish to smoke, they can certainly do so outside in their garden.

A large completely furnished country kitchen with all amenities: dishwasher/washer/dryer, electric kettle, coffee maker, micorwave, toaster, etc.. Cosy sitting room with wood burning stove adjacent to open plan kitchen and dining area. On the ground floor, a substantial modern shower/bathroom with WC. Also, wifi is now available. Upstairs, a charming antique filled master bedroom and two small single bedrooms with standard one-person beds.. There are no closets to speak of although there are areas to hang clothes and chests of drawers.

Private access to the gite. Parking. Large private garden with terrace and table with four chairs, two lounge chairs and play area for children (swing set) etc. Private access to swimming pool situated next to gite. The pool is used only by the guests.The pool is contained within a wall with doors that can be closed securely for those with small children. The pool has lounge chairs and a small table with 2 chairs. The garden contains two old large trees, a large lawn with several flower beds, a terrace with table and chairs for dining or drinks, a bench in the shade, plus a barbeque. Charcoal and accessories are provided.

“Fantastic holiday home”
Set in the beautiful tranquil Normandy countryside, Close to local amenities and beautiful Normandy villages, The property has its own private wonderful swimming pool which we took full advantage of! An ideal launchpad exploring William the conquerors Normandy with all its wonderful churches villages and wonderful restaurants. We had a wonderful holiday cannot recommend it highly enough .

“Fantastic Property in beautiful countryside”
Just returned after a week staying in this fabulous cottage with my wife and 2 grandchildren. They loved the pool and the very private garden.Incredibly peaceful area of Normandy. 5 miles or so from St Pierre sur Dives and it’s very large traditional Monday market and restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend this property and hope to return soon

“Normandy Gite”
Holiday Gite was great. The accommodation was ideal and the kids loved the private pool. The accommodation and surrounding area was private, quite and picturesque. Lisa could not be a better host and was very helpful. The location was ideal for visiting other areas of Normandy. Would definitely recommend it to families/couples.
