Very Disappointing

Left on Apr 04, 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We booked 6 nights at Pengwern Cottage from March 24th to 30th as a short holiday for my birthday. We booked with Sykes Cottages and the location and cottage looked perfect as a base to visit the surrounding area. I was emailed by the owner to say that she was away and would return on the day we arrived and could we arrive after 4.30. We arrived at 6.30 when it was almost dark, but the cottage …

View from cottage is 5 star

Left on Dec 29, 2013 for a stay in December 2013

The cottage itself is adequate but would hugely benefit from an upgrade - decor, lighting in kitchen for instance. However we managed to cook Christmas dinner here with the help of Sainsburys oven ready items. View from conservatory is lovely and some good dog walks around.

Fantastic first visit to Wales

Left on Sep 19, 2011 for a stay in July 2011

Very friendly hosts, the children played cricket every evening with the son of the house :-)! Beautiful place and surroundings, perhaps a bit out of the way for what we had planned to see, so we drove a lot. But we had wonderful weather which helped :-). I would definitely recommend a stay here. It was a very relaxing place, would love to come back again!!
