Downstairs
The open plan living area contains a stunning reclaimed fireplace which is over 300 years old, log burning stove and original oak beams It is comfortably furnished with 3 leather sofas and dining room suite. There is satellite TV, dvd/cd player, free WiFi and nest of tables.
The fully equipped kitchen includes dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridgefreezer.
There is a large bedroom with a King size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and 2 bedside cabinets and an en-suite with superb Hansgrohe shower, wash basin and WC.
Upstairs
There are 2 bedrooms, 1 with King sized bed and 1 twin bedded. Both rooms are very large and contain beautiful original wooden beams.
There is a large bathroom with freestanding bath, shower cubicle, wash basin. Separate WC and hand basin.

Each gite has its own terrace area with garden furniture and bbq. Our heated and covered swimming pool (10m*5m) has a contra-flow current for serious swimmers and the surrounding terraces and lawns have ample loungers and shade. The outdoor games area has table tennis, boules, skittles, badminton and a childrens play area. Our indoor games room has a pool/snooker table, table football and an extensive library area from which you are welcome to borrow books. There is a multi gym and x-trainer for the fitness enthusiast.

“A most enjoyable and relaxing week”
We stayed in the Peuplier gite and had a most enjoyable week. The gite was furnished to a very high standard and had everything. It was like home from home. Marc and Marie made us feel very welcome on their beautiful property and nothing seemed to much trouble for them. The countryside is beautiful and truly worth a visit. Thank you Marc and Marie.

“Excellent all round”
The gite is spacious, well equipped , high quality appliances. Swimming pool is covered and heated and is excellent. Lots for a young family to do on site (games room, badminton, table tennis, football, swing ball etc. The general setting is very rural and quiet (a good thing in my opinion) so you do need to plan supermarket trips a bit in advance ( nearest supmarket was Intermarche in Chatillon about 20 minutes away. The owners are also excellent and extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.

“Peaceful luxury”
Very pleasant relaxing week in Loire. Marie and Marc attend to all the details of a well cleaned and equipped property. You do need a car for this rural property, but with pleasant pool and grounds there is plenty to do.

“Escape to the country!”
The best self catering accommodation and surroundings we have ever stayed in- Marie and Marc have thought of everything - gorgeous surroundings, plenty to do in the grounds including a lovely swimming pool. Nothing is too much trouble - Marie and Marc are the perfect hosts and instantly you arrive you feel cared for- even down to a welcome board and some local produce and a bottle of wine! The area is very rural but lovely places to visit- the most quaint and beautiful village in France, a river with a small beach, historic town and cycling along quiet roads experiencing French country life- exquisite - all the family had a fantastic time from age 2 to 51, we will definitely come again. Missing it so much. Thank you so much Marie and Marc for sharing your special part of France :)

“Ideal relaxing holiday”
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like welcome friends by Marc and Marie. The lovely blackboard welcoming us, the package of local produce and the tour all signalled the start of us feeling able to relax and enjoy family time together. Peuplier is a lovely property. Generous in space indoors for 6, well equipped with quality fixtures and equipment and a private outdoor eating area with sun loungers we made lots of use of well into the evening. Watching the martins/swallows (we don' know as not birdwatchers) sweep across the spacious lawns in the evening whilst drinking wine together after a lovely meal was a such a nice way to spend a warm evening. Our group was made up of 2 parents, 2 children (9 & 5) and 2 grandparents. We made great use as a family of the pool (open 10am to 8pm), the table tennis, boules, play areas and the games room. They have quite a library of English novels in a range of styles which you are free to use and gave a great excuse to read a novel we'd heard of but never read, whilst laying on the sun lounger. From here we visited several places locally, Loches was a surprising highlight and kayaking at Lake Bellebouche, both 30 minutes away. Chenonceau and Amboise were about an hour away. Marie was able to give us lots of information about the local area and will kindly make bookings for restaurants etc if your French isn't up to it. Overall it was a wonderful place to switch off, relax and spend some time together with the family without everyday pressures or distractions. Peaceful,calm and relaxing but with something for all the family. So much so that we have already booked to return next year.

“Fabulous Property - you just won't want to leave!”
Villa Peuplier is an outstanding villa situated on a beautiful property. Having stayed in a number of rental properties across Europe, this was without doubt the best. The Property is immaculate with lots of scope for children to enjoy a fun filled, safe and carefree holiday. The thoughtful touches such as the playroom, bicycles and extensive library of books and DVDs just made our stay extra special. The pool was heated to a perfect temperature and the retractable cover means it is an option even when the weather isn't so good. Marc and Marie were first class hosts providing all the help and guidance we could possibly ask for.

“Wonderful rural gites, beautifully refurbished, with all the amenities a family could need.”
We stayed in the 3 bedroom Peuplier gite. It has been recently and very tastefully refurbished. It was warm, comfortable and spacious. Very comfy beds. TV with DVD player, and satellite access to UK TV; dishwasher; microwave, well-stocked with kitchen wares, and two showers and a bath. Lovely, private dining patio, with a view over the extensive grounds. The covered swimming pool was perfect for our 7 and 9 year olds, and there are swings, table-tennis, swingball, boule piste and badminton nets. And hugely warm welcome from the hosts, who were happy to help with any queries. The location is rural, so a car is required (30m to Loches and an hour to Tours), but it's gloriously peaceful and wonderfully relaxing. We'd gladly return.

“Brilliant1”
Marc and Marie have created the most idyllic luxurious getaway in the Loire Valley. Their gites are situated in a most tranquil area and are exceptionally well kitted out. The covered/indoor pool is clean and warm enough to use in early spring. We spent three nights there in April 2014 with our three young boys. The boys absolutely loved the place, there was plenty to do, swimming, outdoor sports and even free bikes on site. if you are on a driving holiday in France then this is a place to stop for a few days. The Loire valley and all of its destinations are on the doorstep but what really makes this place stand out is the friendly welcome and the little luxury touches.
